89 Ending or Cancelled TV Shows for the 2010-11 TV Season [part 2]

The following is the third part of a list of TV series that are ending or have been cancelled during the 2010-11 season.

For more, be sure to check out part one, part two, and part three of the listings.

Networks and cable channels have different ideas of when a season starts or ends but, to us, it makes sense to start the season on June 1, 2010 and and it on May 31, 2011. In some cases, the last episode of a show aired earlier than these dates but the network didn't get around to canceling the series until later. If you don't see what you're looking for, try the 2008--2009 page, the 2009--2010 listings.

Downfall: ABC Pulling Game Show Early? Cancelled?

Though there are only six episodes, ABC has decided to pull freshman game show Downfall one week early.

Hosted by Chris Jericho, Downfall hasn't been performing well in the ratings and continues to ire some viewers. Though viewers are reminded that the prizes being smashed are replicas, many still view the practice distasteful in a struggling economy and for environmental reasons. ABC is owned by Disney, a corporation that's been touting a "go green" initiative.

The episode of Downfall that will air on July 20th has been deemed the "season finale." The following week's episode will be replaced by the first half of a two-hour edition of Wipeout, called "Wipeout Blind Date." Beginning August 3rd, the timeslot will be filled by the returning Shaq Vs. reality series.

No word on when or if the remaining episode of Downfall will air. A

Racing against the clock and a giant conveyor belt that holds their prizes, contestants must answer questions before the prizes go over the edge and crash to the street below.

Hosted by Chris Jericho, the new series debuted last Tuesday on ABC. Unfortunately, the ratings could hardly be considered a winning performance. The first episode of Downfall attracted a 1.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.674 million viewers. That put the show in third place in the demo and fourth place for total viewers. Adding insult to injury, it
