Enjoyable and Engaging
14 April 2012 | by fritzgreenSee all my reviews

As faith-based thrillers go... Wait, there aren't very many faith-based thrillers out there! So enjoy a story of mobsters, thugs, a mysterious man hiding from his past, and... a naive Christian girl caught up in the middle of it after falling for Mr. Right. With comedic relief from a jovial pastor and a pair of lightweight heavies peering over their sunglasses as things begin to turn upside down. The production is not perfect, but the acting and story are engaging. In particular, Jami Harris, who can currently be seen in Pawn's Move, is a delight to watch, James Bowie is striking as the mystery man she falls for, and Warren Mayer and Mark Brant deliver as eccentric baddies whose war with each other serves as the flytrap our hero and heroin get trapped in. In all, it's a fun viewing. Director Renee Michaels can be proud of her debut effort.
