Pop Culture Thoughts
1 December 2018 | by popculturethoughtsSee all my reviews

This recording of the pop titan's eighth world tour, while well-directed and superbly edited, can't help but feel a little underwhelming when compared to the performer's other tours, which consistently push the boundaries of arena shows. That being said, its strengths, like an ebullient energy, inventive costumes and a nice mix of older and newer songs, are a testament to Madonna's staying power and ability to keep her back catalog material fresh while also performing many numbers from 2008's "Hard Candy," which she was promoting here. One could do worse than this, but Madonna's other contemporary tours are stronger.
