Storyline

'GHOSTED' tells a story of survival inside a British Prison. Jack a model prisoner, has kept his head down and done his time. After his wife confirms that she is leaving him, on the anniversary of their son's death, the only thing that keeps him from going under is the new prisoner, Paul. Jack's cell mate Ahmed, attempts to guide him on a path of salvation, a path that involves saving Paul from the clutches of the wing beast, Clay. Jack struggles between the curiosity of the head prison officer Donner, and the violent determination of clay, eventually saving Paul. As Jack and Paul finally accept each other, it soon becomes clear that Paul is not all he seems and may have a closer connection to Jack than he could ever imagine. Written by Craig Viveiros

Gritty prison drama well worth a look.
5 July 2011 | by lawriekellySee all my reviews

Great acting by John Lynch and Craig Parkinson make up for the slight overtones of a low budget drama in this gritty but unrealistic look at prison life and how people's life's can become interwoven in the strangest of ways.On the downside Martin Compston adds a touch of tedium to the film with his slow acting method and the drawn out delivery of his lines. Art Malik's character Amhed the wise guru type delivering words of wisdom is somewhat cliché and can be seen in nearly every American movie of this genre. To me the film looks slightly dated but that does not detract from what was a good and interesting movie which kept me intrigued right till the very end.
