Sex & Nudity

  • Fester is shown bathing in a bathtub. No nudity except for some details on his nipples.
  • At the beginning of the film, Morticia is shown waking up in bed. She seems to be nude, but the blanket covers her body. She is then shown dressing for her wedding. Her outfit is a little revealing
  • A few innuendos throughout the film,but the jokes may fly over some kids heads.

Violence & Gore

  • The film contains a lot of dark and macabre themes,but it's meant to be more humourous than grim.
  • A group of angry villagers crash Gomez and Morticia's wedding.
  • While Morticia and Gomez are escaping from their crashed wedding in a car, Thing accidently hits a person with the vehicle. We see the impact on the person,but it's nothing graphic.
  • A guillotine hangs over Wednesday's bed.
  • Pugsley has to practice swordfighting skills in order to continue a family tradition. Many times,he does fail, but the results are more funny than grim.
  • Wednesday shoots arrows at Fester with a crossbow. However, he doesn't react to it when the arrows go through him.
  • Pugsley often plays with explosives throughout the film. In one scene,he is shown trying to blow up Gomez.
  • In one scene, Wednesday uses a mini guillotine to chop off the heads of her dolls. She also gives a dummy doll the electric chair.
  • Wednesday's pigtails are in the shape of small nooses
  • In one scene, Morticia is squeezing Gomez's head in a vice.
  • During a dinner scene, the Addams eat eyeballs and chunks of bloody meat.
  • Morticia told Wednesday to kick her father goodnight. Nothing is seen.


Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Some adults drink cocktails.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The mansion that the Addams live in screeches many times throughout the film. The voice of the house may be startling for younger viewers.
  • In a science class, the students dissect frogs. Wednesday does a Frankenstein-like act that makes all the frogs come to life. She then instructs the frogs to attack a girl that had bullied another girl in an earlier scene.
  • The appearance of some of the characters, like Lurch and Grandma, may be creepy for some younger viewers. Wednesday Addams can be frightening too!
  • In one scene, Pugsley is seen crawling on the walls. His eyes are glowing and he has a twisted expression on his face as he does so.
  • Margaux has a small argument over her daughter's rebellious choices. Her daughter makes crude comments in response.

Sex & Nudity

  • The antagonist, Margaux has hidden cameras inside her citizens homes in order to spy on them. One person is said to put their underwear in the freezer and another sits on the toilet backwards (none of the acts are seen). This makes the other citizens worry about what else Margaux had seen them "do".

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Towards the end, the antagonist and a group of citizens begin to destroy the Addams mansion while the family is still inside. No one is hurt in the process. Pugsley uses explosives to defend the family against catapulted boulders.
  • Other members of the Addams family dance with sabers and threaten to harm Pugsley.
