Did You Know?

The idea for Mad Cow was born at Cannes 2009 where UK writer/director Michael Wright (Dark Side, Boulevard Noir) and South African producer/director Michael J. Rix (Tengers, The Game of My Life) struck the deal with producers Jason Rogan and Doug Marschke to make the one of a kind horror/comedy and bring it back to Cannes 2010 under the banner Funny How Films. "We loved the Mad Cow concept and knew we wanted to do this film. Mad cow is the perfect film for Cannes because, in addition to being wildly entertaining, it reminds us all that underneath the hilariously funny lies something perverted and deranged," said Rogan in an interview. The film was made in less than a year and had its world premiere at Cannes on May 17, 2010. See more »

Add some of the ingredients of Troma + Airplane + Bad Taste + Monty Python and you get Mad Cow!

This is the 1st movie i can remember where virtually every scene and dialogue has a pun, joke, or some sort of sarcasm. Some of the cheeziest acting and sound effects {reminds me alot of Troma films), and just like the comedy "Airplane", it needs to watched several times (including the backgrounds) to catch every joke (even if some of them are really bad)..

If i had to give the best line...that would be almost impossible because there are at least 50 i can find (some originals and some copies of famous movies). Here's just one of my favorite lines.... "We contacted the department of special enforcement backup units for backup..."LOL! All of the actors (especially the lead undercover officer) are brilliant, whether over acting, underacting, or (in one scene), reading a script (done on purpose). Even though there are some terrible jokes, they are just as many good ones and i would reccommend this (whether you like cheap low budget comedies or not). Oh, i almost forgot...it's also a horror film.
