Storyline

Jupiter Jones was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people's houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine Wise, a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along - her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos. Quotes

[first lines]
Jupiter Jones: Technically speaking, I'm an alien. And from the perspective of Immigration, an illegal one. My parents met at the University in Saint Petersburg, where he taught Astrophysics and she taught Applied Mathematics. My mother fell in love with him when she found him almost frozen to death on the bank of the Neva, staring at the stars.

Enjoyable Movie
29 April 2015 | by mapineSee all my reviews

I watched this movie and decided that other reviewers were perhaps being a bit too hard on this movie. This movie may not be cerebral, however it is most certainly interesting and had a lot of visual stimulation. I recommend this movie to any of you that liked Independence Day or Day After Tomorrow as it is of a similar plot.

This is a very visually stimulating movie with a feel good plot. I especially liked the love story angle. This movie may not have been like Mary Poppins "Practically perfect in every way", however it fits into a category that is most certainly enjoyable. Without a doubt a good movie to take with you RVing for when it's raining. Also a good movie to put on in the back of the vehicle for the kids on long journey's. The movie is a very long one too and on a big screen it can be a huge adrenaline rush just to watch it. If you're looking for some simple fun with tons of action this is the movie to watch. I really enjoyed it.
