I love the character development, the Pop art style, the voice acting, and the design. This is clearly not the same universe as the other iterations of Spider-Man. So I don't understand why people are whining about how it's so different from the other iterations of Spider-Man. I've been into Spider-Man since the 1966 version (in the late 70's reruns). I watched Spider-Man on the Electric Company in the 70's, Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends in the 80's, the TV movie, and all of the films. They each have their own approaches and are special in their own way. I appreciate this fresh take and highly recommend it!

I was very skeptical about this show since it was announced. TBH, even its trailer and the lack of hype around it made me almost skip this show, but I am glad I gave it a chance!
I am a big Spider-Man fan, so I have watched or at least know about many different shows, movies, and comics about Spider-Man. Trust me when I say the show gets better after the first two episodes.
I like their decision not to make this show feature in the main MCU timeline, so we are getting many unexpected and less popular characters from the Spider-Man stories!
I just finished all ten episodes, and I absolutely enjoyed this show. The episodes surprisingly felt like a breath of fresh air. There was something exciting in each episode, and the fact that they released the entire season in sets of two or three episodes per week was a good decision. Other shows, especially superhero-related shows, should release episodes like this, IMO.
Though I am praising this show, there are a few things that some people may not like, or this show might not feel enjoyable to them, but this is a different take on the same character we all know and love. With MCU having the rights to almost all of their crucial characters, I am glad they are using them all without messing with the main timeline.
The animation style is not something I really liked, but I got used to it after some time. Though they have made some changes to a few characters' origins and appearances, I feel it is more like the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse decision, where they are basically just considering a different timeline than the most common one.
I am excited about the next season, and I just hope they do not make fans wait too long. I recommend you give this a shot, but if you do, please watch more than three episodes.

A breath of fresh air; the story doesn't follow the usual narrative line typical of Spider-Man and reinvents itself by modernizing pre-existing characters, giving them new life. The characters surrounding Peter feel real and face their own struggles, especially Lonnie, whose story is phenomenal. This series is how I wished Spider-Man in the MCU had been introduced. Comic accuracy is also phenomenal: the feeling i had reading the original comics are the same i got by watching the show, Spiderman stories and Peter stories full of personal drama and "gossip".
However, the reasons that drive the character to become Spider-Man are not very clear and are barely explored. I see this as a missed opportunity to reinvent the character in this aspect.

This show has a certain charm to it that's tough to put into words... But I can try!
If, like me, you've been a Spider-Man fan for more than 29 years, you've likely seen the New Yorker go through several shows, movies, games and everything in between. But, seldom does the medium convey the hero's innocence and nostalgia like a comic book read. And that's exactly where this show hits the spot!
It has everything you'd expect in a Spider-Man narrative, but with a lot of twists. Different characters, familiar origin stories and fresh faces.
A lot more people need to watch this, and I genuinely hope the showmakers continue to evolve this series.

Rest, please watch... Dont waste your time searching for the right review. It's fun!
I am writing this review because i have to cover the base word limit. Nothing important below there. That's just me explaining why i am loving watching this show. No spoilers...just my happy thoughts about the show.
Jusy finished watching EP 8. What a banger episode. The Nostalgia, the character development, the story arch changing. And you actually feel for the characters, their relationships with each other. And Peter's dilemma of choosing the side that with humour.
A very lighthearted but beautiful watch.
