Meet De Boys on the Battlefront

First appearance in the series of Michiel Huisman playing busker Sonny. Huisman is a musician in real life and was in a band in his native Netherlands for several years before going solo. He also lived for a while in New Orleans when he first came to the USA.

The National Guard around the city, in various episodes, are shown wearing the newer ACU pattern uniforms which were not yet widely distributed especially to the Guard. They also carry pistols with basic policing gear and are identified as MPs, the US National Guard when used on domestic missions uses a wide variety of types of personnel who are cross trained for particular missions and carry their normal rifles and carbines. Additionally American MPs are oriented towards policing problems within their services and not as they are used in some countries for policing the civilian population.
