Horatio states that the space suit should be covered in radiation if it was in space. This is a common misconception that any exposure to radiation will leave the object radioactive. Only neutron radiation will leave the object radioactive (called neutron activation), which is rare outside of nuclear reactors or weapons. In space, gamma radiation (like x-rays, but more powerful) is predominate. While dangerous, it doesn't leave the object radioactive. See more »

Keith Palmer: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! What are you doing? You can't cut apart my ship.
Ryan Wolfe: Mr. Palmer, do yourself a favor. Get behind the tape.
Keith Palmer: Why do you need the micrometeor scar?
Ryan Wolfe: Why? Mr. Palmer, your space shuttle is a crime scene. That's a piece of evidence. And you know very well I can't get the whole space shuttle back in the lab.
Keith Palmer: Damn it!
Ryan Wolfe: I tell you what - for you, Keith, I'll do you a favor. I'll be gentle.

Crazy, But Very Interesting Case
30 April 2011 | by See all my reviews

This turns out to be an interesting case to solve after a man falls out of tree into a car hood. A crime just happened to be taking place at that exact moment in that car. (Only on CSI could be bizarre circumstance happen!).

Anyway, we learn soon the man fell from a lot higher altitude than the tree.....a lot higher!

After that is discovered, a whole bunch of other things have to be solved - and it gets pretty wild, including trips into space - before we know the whole story. Some of the characters are far-fetched but that helps make the show fun each week.
