Storyline

Corrupt businessman Filip Pasolic stands trial for bringing illegal workers into Sweden and using them as slave labour. Wallander is injured by a car bomb intended for Kristina, who is prosecuting Pasolic and she is given police protection. At the same time pressure on the illegal Lithuanian work force to re-build Ystad's recycling centre in time for it to get an E.U. grant results in two men being killed, one of whose little sister,Natalia, sees construction manager Zoran bury the corpses. She goes to the police and implicates Zoran but takes off again with Zoran in pursuit. Wallander can link Zoran to Pasilic and needs to find him before he gets to Natalia in order to strong-arm him into testifying against Passilic. He also has to dissuade Katarina from resigning as,due to witness intimidation, the case is going against her. Written by don @ minifie-1

Trivia

After filming completed on season 2, Krister Henriksson stated that he would not play Wallander again, having only signed the new contract because he thought the 2005 series could have been better. However, he later indicated that he would be interested in playing the role in an adaptation of the final Wallander novel, Wallander: The Troubled Man (2015), because "it is the definite end". Strong series... And here is suitable to assess the whole series 2
20 February 2013 | by BeneCumbSee all my reviews

Generally, the whole series is interesting to follow, although not all the films are of equal intense, pace or smoothness. In my view, it depends on the topics; as all crimes are love- and/or money-related, then the depiction of background events and their switch is very important. Thus, money seems to create more interesting and versatile scenes and solutions than love. Here, I like Skytten/The Sniper most. The cast is evenly strong and the leading role is not disturbingly more known or better - as is the case with the British Wallander series where Kenneth Branagh is an international star. All the characters are elaborated and Wallander does not dominate in the scenes more than necessary - as a chief. Of course, if you like constant chases, "witty" jokes and explosions, they you should probably stick to the US series.

Compared to similar series internationally, I would give the Series Two eight strong points.
