After Tamannaah got a good name in the film Happy Days 2007, K. Raghavendra Rao wanted to cast her in the film. Tamannaah could not be given a date as she was given a full call sheet for Kanden Kadhalai and Paiyaa films in Tamil. So the director has chosen Taapsee Pannu.
