      • Goofs
Lyrics of the opening theme under the credits include the following: "Loneliness brings only raindrops, falling like tears from the skyline." The skyline is the horizon, surface of the earth, onto which raindrops can only fall, not fall from.

Maitre D: [Detectives are raising a ruckus over their order, trying to get Siu-Lung Leung fired] Sorry, we must have made a mistake. Please order again

Shek Wu: In fact, it's what they ordered for.

Maitre D: Stop. Customers are always right.

Louis: You should fire the waiter!

[sees Siu-Lung Leung's fist of fury clasped on his chest]

        Louis: Maybe I've ordered wrongly...

        Maitre D: Please order again.

Shek Wu: It's alright. Sorry. Hurry up, what do you want?

        Louis: Fried rice.

        George: Fried rice.

        Paul: Fried rice.

[Detectives huddle, sotto voce, for a second attempt]

Paul: [coming out of huddle, audibly] OK! Good! Good!

Louis: [sets upon unsuspecting woman dining] Darling, I think you must agree with me. Here they supply the best food of Rome, the best of Europe, the best of the world. You can't have it, even in China, This place is famous for roasted chicken, steamed and...

[stalling while George and a mischievous busboy pin the diner's skirt to her chair]

Louis: preserved egg. We've got everything here. We have every dish in China. You have a great deal of Chinese dishes.

Paul, Tormented diner: [to Siu-Lung Leung] I'm sorry, please change my table.

Shek Wu: Please wait for a moment

George: Sorry to disturb you .

[Diner rises, screams as her skirt rips off. Rest of patrons laugh as George feigns outrage at their rudeness]

George: What's the matter? What are you laughing at?

Tormented diner: I'll ask my lawyer to sue you, to sue this restaurant!

[detectives shout their support of her case]

        Maitre D: Shek Wu

        Shek Wu: Sir...

Maitre D: As of now you are dismissed!

MORE VENICE THAN ROME, BUT BRUCE LEUNG IS ALWAYS FASCINATING!
In 1974 independent Kung-Fu director Ng See Yuen (Game of death 2) wnet Italy and filmed this and Little Godfather from Hong Kong back-to-back with the same star, stuntman and coreographer Bruce Leung. This is the less interesting effort, action is more in venice than Rome and comedy touch from the trio of occidental detectives (all played by grade-B italian comedy character-actors) is terrible. Nonetheless when Bruce Leung goes into action he kills the boredom and it's funny to see him fighting against a bunch of italian stuntmen and characters like Candelli, Fineschi, Unger and the others very familiar faces for the Spaghetti Western fans. Kid-stuntman Mang Hoi (Enter the Dragon with Bruce, Legacy of Rage with Brandon) was always a staple in Ng See Yuen's productions.
