Storyline

Richard arrives at the Palace of the Prophets to begin his wizard training. He meets the beautiful and mysterious Sister Nicci who tells him that the other sisters are lying to him. Not knowing who to trust, Richard is forced into a dark alliance with Nicci while Kahlan, Zedd and Cara find and name a new Seeker in Richard's absence.

A new seeker

Richard gets to the Palace of the Prophets, where he gets more than he bargained for, and some sisters of the darkness that will try to steal his power. All the while, Cara, Kahlan and Zedd are trying to find the new Seeker so they can, once and for all, find the Stone of Tears...

"Dark" is another good episode that keeps the general quality of this second season of the show. Even if the new seeker's character lacks a little bit in the charisma department, and his appearance is used in a lame manner to show more development in Cara's personality, in general it keeps good pace, lots of plot development, and nice and interesting situations. The acting in general is quite good, and the effects can be forgiven, as they more than cover the ground. Having self-concluding episodes in an over-arching ark makes for some episodes being more original than others, and this one offers more than enough new situations to feel fresh.

The seeker's adventures continue to be captivating.
