Woody Harrelson is “really impressed” with Zombieland: Double Tap and so is Jesse Eisenberg

Woody Harrelson has revealed that he is “really impressed” with Zombieland: Double Tap and his co-star Jesse Eisenberg has also revealed how well shooting is going.

When a sequel arrives so long after the original, such as in the case of Zombieland and it’s follow-up, Zombieland: Doupletap, one could start to doubt whether the new film will be able to recapture what was so special in the first place.

Fortunately, this doesn’t seem to be the case with this particular franchise, at least not according to two of its returning stars. Woody Harrelson, in a recent interview with EW, expressed how amazed he is by the film so far:

“What we’ve shot so far, I’m really impressed with. Getting to hang out with these guys — Emma, and Abbie, and Jesse, and Ruben — I feel so lucky, really, really lucky. You know, it’s literally laughing all day long,

Zombieland 2 Shoot Has Woody Harrelson Laughing All Day Long
&#8232&#8232It's been a long tome coming, but Zombieland Double Tap is finally happening. For real. Zombieland was released 10 years ago. Can you believe it? Seems like just yesterday when we were introduced to the intriguing, and quite funny characters that inhabited the first filmscape.

The movie was very, very well received. It even got 90% on the Tomato meter, and that's no easy feat! A lot has happened in the real world since Zombieland was released last decade, however Zombies will never change. This is why even though it's been a long time, I think people will be excited to see yet another movie featuring the ever present pop culture monsters that we all seem to love so much.

This time around we once again get to see the loveable cast of Zombieland in a "sequel" called Zombieland: Double Tap. One of the stars of the movie, Woody Harrelson was making

Woody Harrelson Says He’s Really Impressed With Zombieland: Double Tap

Zombieland: Double Tap will be arriving in cinemas more than a decade after the first movie, and after such a long period of absence from our screens, you have to wonder if the horror-comedy series can still maintain its spark of energy and inspiration. But for what it’s worth, actor Woody Harrelson sure sounds like he’s having a fun time revisiting the post-apocalyptic world of the 2009 film.

Harrelson recently attended SXSW, where his new Netflix drama The Highwaymen had its premiere. While there, he spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the upcoming sequel and the many laughs he’s had on set.

“What we’ve shot so far, I’m really impressed with,” Harrelson said. “Getting to hang out with these guys — Emma, and Abbie, and Jesse, and Ruben — I feel so lucky, really, really lucky. You know, it’s literally laughing all day long, and that’s your job.

After much demand from the fans and a few false starts, Zombieland: Double Tap is now in production and from what we understand, it’s coming together rather nicely. Granted, we haven’t really seen much from it in the way of official stills or footage just yet, but we we do have a few details on the story of Ruben Fleischer’s next film.

According to recent reports, the pic will find the old gang living in the White House before they set out on a journey that’ll introduce a few new zombie types to the franchise which have managed to evolve over the years. Jesse Eisenberg Offers Zombieland 2 Production Update at SXSW [Exclusive]
After years and years of waiting, Zombieland 2, titled Zombieland: Double Tap, is finally in the works. While the studio, for the time being, is keeping a pretty tight lid on things, I recently had the chance to chat with Jesse Eisenberg, who returns as Columbus in the upcoming sequel. Eisenberg was kind enough to provide us with a little bit, in broad terms, of what we can expect from the movie when it arrives later this year.

Jesse Eisenberg was at SXSW in Austin, Texas to promote his new movie The Art of Self Defense, along with the rest of the cast and director Riley Stearns. We'll have the full interview coming down the pipeline at a later date. During the conversation I was able to ask him about Zombieland: Double Tap and, again, while he couldn't reveal too much, in terms of specifics, the actor did promise that they're

Maleficent 2 Title, Release Date and Poster Revealed

Disney have finally pulled the veil off Maleficent 2 this morning. We now have the official title, the release date, and the first teaser poster. Angelina Jolie is back in all of her wicked goodness, showing the horn headed dark angel as she gets ready for another fantastical adventure.

The Maleficent sequel is officially titled Mistress of Evil, hinting that Angelina Jolie's iconic Disney villain is not getting up to any good in this follow-up to the hugely successful 2014 live-action take on the villain prominently featured in the 1959 animated classic Sleeping Beauty. We don't get an official synopsis this time around.

The original movie showed off Maleficent's origin. As a beautiful young woman of pure heart, Maleficent (Angelina Jolie) had an idyllic life in a forest kingdom. When an invading army threatened the land, Maleficent rose up to become its fiercest protector. However, a terrible betrayal hardened her heart and

Venom 2 Loses Original Director Ruben Fleischer?

Venom 2 is happening but it's probably going to be a new director in the driver's seat this time around. In a highly expected move, it was revealed in January that Sony is indeed moving forward with a sequel to last year's highly successful Marvel Comics adaptation, with original writer Kelly Marcel returning to pen the screenplay. However, it's now being reported that Ruben Fleischer, who helmed the original, will not be returning.

Since this report isn't coming from the studio or anyone involved with the production, it should be regarded as a rumor for the time being. That said, this lines up with previous reports and makes sense, given the alleged production timeline. According to a new report, Venom 2 is gearing up to start production in November. That means, whoever is directing it, will have to spend at least a few months ahead of time prepping and doing pre-production work before cameras roll,

New Hollywood Podcast: ‘Now Apocalypse’ Star Avan Jogia Talks Oscars And The Brilliance Of Spike Lee
Avan Jogia has an interesting name — a name many have said he should change when he first started in the business over a decade ago. With his mix of Indian and Irish heritage, Jogia refused to stray from his culture and decided against a stage name. Now, his name is becoming recognizable and distinct in a class of young Hollywood. He has appeared in numerous TV shows early in his career but his name will soon be even more well known with the forthcoming Starz Greg Araki series Now Apocalypse, his role in the Shaft revival as well as Zombieland: Double Tap, a sequel to the 2009 horror comedy. Jogia stopped by the New Hollywood Podcast to talk about his upcoming projects and being of mixed race in Hollywood. But before we went into that, we dove deep into the results of this year’s Oscars.

Pirates Of The Caribbean Reboot May Not Happen As Writers Exit

Back in October of last year, the news got out that Deadpool scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick had signed on to pen the planned Pirates of the Caribbean reboot, and in the months since, Disney’s film production chief Sean Bailey has been vocal in his enthusiasm about the new recruits, telling THR in December that he believed the pair could give the franchise a much-needed “kick in the pants.” However, it now seems that the producer’s enthusiasm was a little premature, with Deadline reporting that Reese and Wernick have departed from the project.

With the writing duo no longer involved, Deadline’s Disney insiders are said to be divided over what happens next, with some claiming that a search is underway for new scribes, while others are predicting that we could already be seeing the end of the swashbuckler series. For a possible third option, it’s

Oscar Nominees Luncheon: Producers Beg Future Winners to Keep It Short
It looked like business as usual at the 38th annual Oscar nominees lunch. A smiling set of Oscar show producers begged Oscar-winners to keep their speeches short. (Steven Soderbergh’s acceptance speech for “Traffic” was new Oscar show producer Donna Gigliotti’s choice for the ideal combination of heart and list-free brevity.) But this year, the producers mean business. The goal for Gigliotti and her co-producer Glenn Weiss is to keep the show to a mere three hours — a full 45 minutes shorter than last year’s low-ratings exercise. “It means you can hit the parties by 8:15,” said Weiss.

They asked winners to sprint to the podium to cut down the lag time, and will give them 90 seconds total to get there and make their speech. That’s why the producers want to be able to record some of the craft categories to be given out during commercial breaks and
