Zedd is captured by Denna. During the pursuit, Richard is incapacitated by potentially lethal headaches brought on by the Gift (his latent ability as a Wizard) and must leave with the Sisters of the Light in order to be trained. Kahlan and Cara are forced to continue the pursuit without Richard, while Richard attempts to reach the Palace of the Prophets in the old world. Written by TMC
The group is trying to recover the compass that Denna stole, but instead ends in a direr situation, Zedd captured by the Mord Sith and Richard victim of strange headaches. It seems his destiny is to become a wizard. The group needs to break up, and while Kahlan and Cara follow Denna and Zedd, Richard will go with the Sisters of the Light in search of the Palace of the Prophets.
This episode is a nice change of pace, as the group breaking up changes the dynamic of the show quite a lot. Richard with some unknown makes from some refreshing moments (even though the special effects on his side of the episode are quite bad) and Kahlan and Cara as a team do for some nice moments of comradeship and banter. Of course, at this moment of the series, all actors feel more or less comfortable with their characters and it shows. The plot is fast paced enough and jumps from one group to the other quite flawlessly. As said above, the effects are on the poor side, but that's the worst to say of a very entertaining episode.
