Hi from Istanbul Turkiye🇹🇷I finished 8 epiSodes within 24 hours and I loved it,story, story tellings, actings, actors, editings, simplicity, warmth, everything was excellent,I remembered my collage days while watching, most of the actors were unfamiliar to me but anyhow it was very emotional and a cute one, congrats from the bottom of my heart,I hope second season comes too soon,we are looking forward for the new season actually it might have been 3 seasons minimum😁many thanks for your efforts eventually it has turned an excellent series, the new season supposed to take place in another city I think,so bye for now👋
Ion care what nobody says. This right here is a must-watch. People cry about how it lacks the love part, but that's all about it. This show captures what high school relationships are actually like. I'm in high school, going, and this genuinely gave me flashbacks because I did ts before. Everyone was a Justin or a Keisha at one point in their lives. This show captures the true beauty of love. Love is kind. Love is anger. Love is forgiving. Love is a lot of things, and somehow it's captured all on a screen in everyone's home. I highly recommend watching it, and I swear you will relate. Ima gonna weep about my ex.

I wanted to take my time watching this show because 8 episodes is truly too short but it's TOO good to not binge in one sitting!!!! Lovie Simone & Michael Cooper Jr are SOO amazing in their roles of Keisha and Justin, I was instantly taken back to my first love and heartbreak. Their honesty to each other, their moments of immaturity due to their age but their quick realization that their love was worth it, ugh everything about this show was perfection. I really hope we see more from this series in the future, and more work like this from the amazing Mara Brock Akil !!!!!
This show is powerful on so many levels.

This series resonates with viewers because it captures the complexities of relationships and how to balance personal desires with familial expectations. Audiences can relate to the show's relatable characters and realistic storylines. The show's honest portrayal of young black love also provides fresh perspective and much-needed representation. I thoroughly enjoyed the first season. Kiesha's story delved into her struggle with her reputation and the sacrifices mothers make to provide for their child(ren). The show also emphasizes the importance of community and its impact on one's identity. With its compelling narrative, it highlights the struggles and resilience of single mothers.
It kept me engaged with its music, scenes, and portrayal of young black love-truly eloquent. It evoked a range of emotions as I watched. However, Justin's mom is overbearing! As a mom of three, I feel that she does too much. I eagerly await the next season. I hope the next season brings more depth to the characters and their relationships. I'm curious to see how Justin navigates his mom's influence while pursuing his own happiness. The show has so much potential, and I can't wait to see how the story unfolds.
Overall, the series offers a powerful and nuanced depiction of love, family, and personal growth.

As a 20 year old african american man, I felt a deep connection to this show, it definitely made me tear up a lot, we don't get to see much representation of black love these days especially on such a large platform like netflix. Shows like summer i turned pretty and maxton hall did not resonate with me at all. Anyway I enjoyed this show so much I finished it in within 1 day and felt the need to leave a review. Great acting, and the music playlist in this show??? 100/100 all songs i have on my spotify playlists. I went through similar struggles back in high school and I also had to break up due to a long distance relationship and college so this show struck me to the core. I highly recommend you watch this show.
