Using the magical compass to guide their way to the Stone of Tears, Richard, Kahlan, Cara and Zedd come across a camp of Minders. There they come across an ancient magical spell that is connected to Richard and when the Sword of Truth's magic overcomes Richard, Zedd must teach him how to control his rage. Written by anon.
Richard and the rest are trying to find the Stone of Tears when they get across a group of people being attacked by some slavers. They help them, but then, when they are ready to continue their journey, discover that the compass points constantly to the group they have just helped. They return to the group, and decide to help them to learn how to fight. The group had forsaken violence, but some of its members want to learn how to defend themselves for when the slavers return.
As Richard tries to teach them some fighting techniques, strange magic happens...
"Fury", episode 7 of the second season of "Legend of the Seeker" is another fun one, and even if it takes again the route of magic changing characters' personality (yes, again...), at least it is original enough in its focus that it feels new. The idea of trying to teach a group of passive non-violence group how to defend themselves offers the show some new opportunities to talk about violence, responsibility and forgiveness. As the character with more background, Tabrett Bethell's Cara keeps being the most interesting, but in general the level of acting is acceptable enough at all levels, the plot proceeds at a fast pace, and the action is fun.
The Seeker and the rest of the team are enjoyable company. That the show takes care in making them easy to relate to helps. Even if the show's general story-line is right now in the background, forgotten, the adventures of Richard and the rest are a blast.
