Merlin takes an instinctive liking to Freya, a Druid girl hunted down for Uther by bounty-hunter Halig. He feeds, cloths and hides her at great risk. Later Merlin discovers, while investigating with Gaius the bloody attacks of a feline monster in Camelot, that it's her while metamorphosed in her night-shape. Still Merlin sides with her and undertakes a perilous journey to evacuate her to her natural part of the kingdom, by a lake.
