There is something old fashioned about the animation in Nick Cross's Yellow Cake reminded me of those vintage Warner Bros cartoons mixed with something modern such as Ren & Stimpy.
A bunch of little people make delicious yellow pieces of cake that they all enjoy until a big fat cat takes it all and demands further free deliveries leaving the little people with nothing but gruel until they slyly fight back with sabotage and then it all ends with all out war.
Maybe Cross was referencing the war on terror in the middle east or maybe it was just a reference to Orwellian societies but it does make you think of the message.
