    Amazingly timely film

This film was spot on in terms of capturing the pain, frustration and alienation so many have felt during the pandemic and yet Laura was so cleverly able to knit in humor. The characters are powerful in their need to speak out and be heard and the actors did an brilliant job of bringing Laura's words to life. Most of all, it reminded me that we need to take care of each other in any and all ways we can.

I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

A most impressive and important new film.

"Writer-Director Laura Wetzler brings a fresh eye and a big heart to this tale, told primarily by three compelling women narrators. Beautifully shot, What Happened at the Veterans Home? Is a film that fulfills two of the greatest functions of art: to help us understand what is happening in the now, to provoke us to change what happens in the future.

Brilliant Debut Film Captures Societal Challenges During Covid

It's rare to experience a film where the writing, directing and acting are so in sync in presenting an honest and relevant look inside a crisis like Covid. The actors are superb, their dialogue and emotional delivery brings home the challenges families, health care workers and patients dealt with daily during the first year of Covid. The Veteran's Home is a metaphor for what happened across our country, be it in nursing homes, veteran's homes or hospitals. There is raw honest sharing, as well as humor, hope and reality in this short and powerful film. It's a must-watch for all of us, with lasting impact.

    Fantastic film

This is a beautiful film about three fierce women fighting for seniors and veterans. I loved this movie and loved these women who lifted me up. Even the covid character drew me in. I definitely cried, but I laughed too. Great writing, great acting!
