The 3 stars I gave are for Amy's acting skills here. I feel sorry for the directing; her role and acting are the only good things about this movie. Every scene with her is portrayed as it should. However, it fell off the thrill with her co-stars with poor acting skills, especially the villain. This movie requires audio editing to make it better, terrible sound effects and, not on timing, unnecessary and overkilled audio effects were turned off. It gave me a roller coaster feeling and a weird feeling in every way. I thought it is going to be as good as the Gone Girl movie and did not give me any nightmares after.
Well here we go. You have a young girl traumatized by her dad's death. After a move from the city with her mom the daughter suspects her moms new boyfriend is responsible for her classmates disappearances and murders. So acting like a detective she sets out to prove who's behind the murders. When finished with this movie I was debating about what score to give it and it was between 5-6. Well needless to say I didn't hate the movie but it wasn't great either. Some of the music choices were definitely questionable. The chemistry between the mom and daughter was good. Overall this was a nice attempt for a slasher flick. As far as a recommendation I'd say yeah give a go. The kills were good.

I have no words to describe what just happened! 90 minutes wasted! This movie is so so so so bad! I am trying to think of a way to provide constructive feedback but I just can't! It is just really, really, I mean reeeeeally bad!
I definitely recommend you watching the other movie you were indecisive on! Go back to the home page and choose a different movie! I wish I had done just that!
Oh, and the scene she grabs a knife and it's dark and then runs to the house next door, it is literally next door (it would've taken her 2 minutes tops) and, all of a sudden, is daylight. I mean, WHAT?! Why?! How do people get away with this?
I would love to know how much money was spent on it! It is just a waste! Waste of money and waste of people's time!
Ahhhh, rant is over! I feel better now! Oh no, wait.... This movie is really BAD! .... Now I'm done!

Awful. Simply awful. Didn't make sense. Tried to be off-beat funny with a clunky script. The soundtrack should be used in film school exemplifying what not to do. I ready don't want to bag a film made in my own country's industry .... but no one else should lose 90 minutes of time you'll never retrieve!!

Soooo bad it's not even bad enough to be good!
Horror is always a bit hit and miss and sometimes a miss aint a bad thing as 'just because it's bad' doesn't mean it's not enjoyable.
This was just utter cheese - terrible everything, plot, acting, screenplay, all of it. Come in Aussie films!! You can do better then that, we'd come so far and now this?
Anyone involved in this film should be ashamed of themselves.....complete amateurish garbage.
The best part was when it finished.

How was this film made? Genuinely. This is easily one of the most atrociously written/acted/directed/edited films I've ever seen in my life. My first year film school films were Oscar worthy in comparison. We're all usually forgiving with horrors, but this is honestly so awful I was crying with laughter in my screening. Anyone who worked on this film should be really embarassed. But hey, least it's reassuring to know we can all write films if garbage like this can pass all the checks.

This movie gets a hard time from reviewers but as thrillers go, I rate it better than sixty percent of what I've watched.
It did keep me guessing and there were a couple of proper scary moments thrown in. The acting was pretty good overall, most characters were convincing and it had a fairly strong plot that admittedly could have been fleshed out more.
On the negative side, the serial killer is rather unconvincing and the police failure to find him also. All in all as a thriller fan, I was pleasantly surprised having read some pretty terrible reviews.
So I would recommend giving it a go. If you don't agree then you can thumbs down this review.

This film was exceptionally well written, and had very unclunky dialogue, this writer should have won best screenplay at the oscars, therefore showing the bias from the oscars. But this bias is further shown in the fact that it didnt win best film at the oscars. The performances were amazing. There are not enough words to describe how amazing this film is. I hope that the sequel will be just as exceptional in the writing, directing and editing of this masterpiece. Would highly recommend. The only other piece of media that i would give ten stars is rise of afghanistan cricket, kings of kabul, the story of ramanullah gurbaz and hazratullah zazai 162* vs Ireland. Was a very scary horror and thrilling film. If anyone gives below ten stars they don't understand film.

I don't understand, I really don't understand, why an actress like Radha Mitchell allows herself to be cast in a completely insignificant and desperately stupid supporting role, where she is not given any space for even minimal acting performance. Unfortunately, this is not the only film in which Radha incomprehensibly does not even partially use her potential. To say something about the film itself, originality is not really its strong point. You'll discover the main villain long before the end, and you'll be able to focus more on the annoyingly illogical direction, script and editing. I'm not saying that the creators didn't try to do a professional job, but the effort is not enough when you can't decide whether you're shooting a comedy, crime or slasher.

Whoever let this one pass the final inspection should be fired immediately, 90 minutes of my life wasted, it was so bad I had to write a review, in my 26 years of life I've never even considered reviewing a movie online but this one was so terrible I couldn't resist, if your considering watching this show please don't do it, the soundtrack to this makes me feel like I'm reliving the first jaws movie all over again and to make it even worse it took her 12 hours to get down the stairs? One minute it's midnight and she's running down to the kitchen to get a knife and the next it's midday and she's only just made it out the front door, I'm so disappointed that I've even taken the time to start a petition to get this removed from all viewing platforms, it should be banned! Makes me ashamed to be Australian.

This movie is so predictable that I stopped to check and see if I had seen it before because it was oh so familiar!
Awful acting from the young girl and her fellow actors and dialogue that is, well, at best amateur and embarrassing.
Plot holes are everywhere and what would be life stopping injuries and wounds seem to be nothing more than a mere inconvenience to the receiver.
The musical score is unsuitable I'd say and there seems to be very little cohesion between the actors.
Maybe two stars is being a bit generous?
Anyway, you'd be better off looking elsewhere for your scares and frights because they are limited in this high school production.

I don't even want to waste a review on it, it's that bad, but I suppose I have to write at least 600 chracters here for me to be allowed to post the review. Honestly, I'm writing this so no one else will have to waste an hour and a half of their lives on this movie. It feels like a C grade murder flick from the 70s (though that era also gave us some excellent films). The plot is silly and has no logic, the situations are contrived, the performances are mediocre. The makeup and gore are a bit laughable, and the characters are halfbaked. Hard to believe such bad films are still being made in 2022.
In a word - bad. I won't dedicate much time to reviewing a project this bad. Radha Mitchell has made some great films, but she is only a supporting role here. The lead actress is good, but you can only do so much with a terrible script. The villain is a terrible actor, but not as terrible as whoever was in charge of the post-production. The sometimes inappropriate and always overbearing mood music will drive most viewers crazy. Altogether, this isn't just bad - it's multi-dimensionally bad. I removed it from my collection.

Someone clearly paid for some good reviews from India 😂
The script, direction and score were pretty subpar and the acting was average. Everyone phoned it in for this one because there is legitimate talent in this cast but it didn't show in this film, and to be honest I don't blame them. It really wasn't worth the effort.
Who at Film Victoria green lights the funding for these embarrassing productions? I know there are more artistic, entertaining, intelligent, original, Australian projects out there that could use the funding. They seem to miss out more often than not.
This film just couldn't decide what it wanted to be and as such, missed the mark everywhere. If they'd removed the nudity and reduced the gore then they could have slapped this on the abc as a teen drama and none would be the wiser. I wouldn't have given it such a low mark if they had because I wouldn't have expected more from it.
As a side note, the director definitely gave the main actress the instruction to bite her lip as a character trait because she does it incessantly and while it's a small thing it is so annoying.

This was truly an amazing film, the dialogue, camera angles, acting and scenes were truly inspiring and life changing. The story was easy to follow and very entertaining. Sure this film isn't as good as the great Afghanistan cricket documentary, but it is still worth your while. This film truly moved the Australian media industry to its high standards today. However, I thought it was very sexist and misogynist how much of women's chests were exposed on camera, clearly the writers are trying to appeal to the men (the pigs). But other than that it was an amazing story.
Good luck from Darjeeling India.

No pun intended - it is not always easy to figure out who is bad and evil and who is not. Especially if you are a teenager and no one is believing most of the things you say. You know those kids and their fantasy running wild with them ... right? Well maybe she is not right .. or is she? There is only two possibilities or rather answers to that.
You may figure it out way before the characters in the movie. But it is not about that .. and the shocks and twists still are quite hard hitting. Which makes this quite watchable - you just have to suspend your disbelief. Acting is ok - do not expect too much here and you'll have a good time.

I honestly have no idea why this movie is rated so poorly. The plot was good, the acting was good, and the surprise twist was good. Honestly, I think people have been spoiled by all the trash TikTok videos or something. There is no way this movie should be reviewed and starred so badly. It held my attention to the surprising and excellent ending. I guess some people don't understand the category of psychological mysteries/thrillers/horror. I did suspect who was the killer early on in the movie, but the writers threw out some excellent red herrings. I wanted the main character to be the final girl.... I was rooting for her. I don't believe in giving spoilers, so I'll just leave the ending for you to discover. Recommended!
