Hawk Koch mentions that Frank Sinatra wondered till the day he died if The Manchurian Candidate (1962) had inspired John F. Kennedy's assassination. This is the common misconception that has long been thought of Sinatra's movie Suddenly (1954), in which Sinatra plays a man paid to shoot the president.
