I'm going to start by saying that I wasn't the biggest fan of this type of movies, ever since I saw Unsane, it just didn't feel right to me.
With time tho, came Unfriended, Searching, Ressurected and little by little I came to appreciate this new way of filming. It's different but it's different good, and I felt like I should give it a proper chance.
Now that movies like Resurrected are part of the new norm, I think they deserve respect for the fact that they use very small budgets in order to happen. So from in the woods movies, or zombie ones, we now have in face of the PC films that deliver a lot on tension, plot, mystery, but of course lack aspects like horror or true jump scares...at least for now.
Resurrected kept me interested from its start to the very end, I have to admit that the plot comes out as, well original really, a new subject, a great approach to it, without revealing too much about the technique involved, leaving the viewer to roam his imagination free. The plot here is the monster in other horrors, like Jaw, Cloverfield, where they get very little screen time, but once you see them...it's more than enough.
So all in all, Resurrected was a fun surprise, I liked it a lot, I tried to connect all the dots and see where this one is heading. Definitely recommended, has a lot of strong points.
Cheers!

I was really surprised to see how good this movie turned out to be, seeing as it is so lowly considered here on IMDB.
The movie deserves a much higher rating being that it has such an original story, solid writing, acting, pacing, and follow-through from beginning to end.
Joe Rechtman does a fantastic job, and it's enjoyable from beginning to end.
I found the immediate premise interesting and something significant to most people, which is what happens after death, and what could happen if we were able to resurrect, and all the complexities that go along with it.
The pitfalls, the power, the problems, and the promise of second chances.

I have mixed feelings about this movie. The story could have been something if it was more elaborated towards the end. Now you're left with unanswered questions, not really a positive thing to me. What I didn't like, and it's not the first time I've seen movies shot like that lately, is the whole filming of a computer, going from one social media platform to another, from one call to another, or some googling, and that for the entire movie. Let just keep it at it is boring and looks cheap. I know it's a low budget movie and to be honest it shows. Add to that that I had to watch a German version of this movie where they had all written words in German without subtitles and it got even more annoying. I have some German knowledge but to have to read and translate what is showing on the screen in a movie where 90% of the time it's just like looking at your computer screen, let just say it wasn't a pleasant way to relax and watch a movie. Please just stop filming movies like this, we already spent enough time on our computers, tablets, smartphones etc...
The overall plot of this movie is quite absurd to say the least, but me and my partner had a lot of fun watching it because of it.
All the people who mentioned "bad acting" in their reviews must have been watching a completely different movie than me. The acting was really solid from all of the actors. It was far better than in most of such movies.
It was also fun seeing that the director wasn't afraid to make a movie that openly criticizes the Catholic church and the way that a lot of people perceive it, so as nothing more than a huge criminal organisation hiding in plain sight.
If you like the found footage genre, you'll definitely like this movie. My partner loves this genre and even she said that it's one of the best ones she ever watched!

Yes, it is a webcam- and chat-based movie. Which makes me wonder how well packed it is with action, that keeps you edge-seated. One third of the time are action scenes, shot again on webcams of all kinds.
Poster on IMDB page contains the poorest possible screenshot from the movie, please just disregard it. You may have your answer why this exact 3D is so rubbish when you watch the movie.
Key strength is a script. It's hard not to give away any detail, let's say the story contains ethical questions around religion, conspiracy theory, and several solid twists. Couple of gory scenes. No horror at all to my personal standards. Performances are better than one would expect.
My only criticism would be around final scenes, when it all breaks loose.. those could have been more.. spectacular, but I believe this is owing to budget limitations only.
Btw, don't skip final titles, the story is continued there.
