Trama

Bonamy is the journey of a stray puppy through 2 children's life. The 8-year-old girl's love and affection for the dog and her helplessness where she has to leave it alone at some point in her life, and the 10-year-old boy's struggle to find a shelter for the puppy and how he manages to achieve it. The film also conveys how true love and compassion can bring happiness to one's life.

A dream village with no boundaries of love and nature. Anju lives there in a small house with her grandfather. Kuttan is her only friend in that innocent world. One day, her friend Kuttan invites her to watch a movie shooting. The journey crosses streams and alleys and ends in a small forest. Anju's friend threatens her, saying that the forest is the abode of the evil fox who comes to her house to catch the chicken and that one day the fox will not just catch the chicken but will catch children as well. He reminded her that he had nothing to fear because he had a dog in his house. Though she was scared inside, she did not show it. But soon, her friend scared her again when she was hiding in an isolated old, dilapidated building.

Anju woke up with a severe fever the next morning, but her father, a corporation cleaning employee in the city, gifted her a puppy. The puppy became her best friend soon, and she never allowed Kuttan to even see the puppy.

On a rainy evening, the grandfather dies due to a heart attack, and that night Kuttan takes the puppy and leaves it in a truck which leaves her all alone at home. Later she relocates to the city with her father.

In a city home, a 8-year-old boy, Sidharth, learns piano from his father. His mother sends him to the grocery shop to buy milk. Near the shop, he finds a wounded puppy. Sidharth brings the puppy home and hides it in the storeroom. While giving food to the puppy in the morning, his mom finds the wounds and asks him to abandon the dog.

Sidharth's dad finds an animal rehabilitation center and sends him there with the puppy. But the rehabilitation center management was not willing to accommodate a stray puppy. Sidharth then tries to leave the dog in a veterinary hospital. The doctor also refuses to provide shelter to the dog. He then tries his luck at his own uncle's apartment. But he was disappointed. Finally, he decides to leave the poor dog, where he gets it with great pain. But, the universe teaches him the miracles of life, which are beyond definitions and expectations.
