Impressed with Chuck's recent performance, Shaw gives him the lead in a full-danger operation: catching and impersonating mysterious hit-man Rafe Gruber, recruited by the Ring for a yet unspecified killing. Casey gives sniper-cover while Shaw and Sara observe, posing as a couple. Chuck gets the job, but discovers only frightfully late that his target is none other then Shaw, whom he and the Ring duo hiring him spy on, thus learning something about Sara's true identity. Take a shot every time Chuck says "I'm sorry". You'll be wasted halfway through every episode. Which is good because you'll need it -- this show has turned into nothing but a crappy sappy soap opera. What a waste. Maybe the PTB should have ended this series when they'd planned -- after season 2. "Chuck" is now a (s)hell of its former self.
