User Reviews

Agreeable vehicle for a star overlooked in the English market.
21 April 2011 | by MozjoukineSee all my reviews

Pieraccioni's pool cleaning job isn't going too well and he's lost his appealing wife to a knife throwing tiger tamer, who gives his daughter presents our sad sack hero can't afford. To brighten his grim existence, Leonardo and his mates have his aunt, the medium, summon the ghost of Marilyn Monroe - who is tired of all the calls she gets, like Napoleon and Oliver Hardy. Laurel has been forgotten and allowed to fade away.

Once Leonardo has adjusted to the situation, he gets relationship advice for the star - played by Kennedy. She had the same gig in WHO KILLED MARILYN MONROE and proves her authenticity in the clever bus gag. Complications from a self help group member who is not what he seems.

The mix of grotesque support, sexy women and nice character-based gags, recognizable from the director/star's other films, works as well here.

Hard enough to find any of this lot's work, so it's an agreeable surprise to come across a good disc with OK English sub titles.
