WOW -- you knew this was going to be great, didn't you?

Going into this jaw-dropping action-packed finale, Stephen McKnight, the creator and SOLE WRITER on the episode, gets to show his stuff.

By that I mean, this man (whose name you should remember) who had previously been associated with ANGEL and SMALLVILLE, and was also the talent behind the first 12 episodes (most of which I reviewed individually) puts on a clinic in how to wrap up loose ends.

Or, as McKnight himself like to refer to it,just KILL THEM ALL.

Perfect entertainment. I especially liked the way justice was meted out to everyone who deserved it from the earlier arcs.

To achieve that feat, you would need to have the writer here intimately familiar with all the twists and turns so far .... oh wait a sec ... we just covered that above, didn't we? Wow.

I just now finished watching this and my god was it insane, just WOW, this was one hell of a finale, now I'm already excited for the prequel gods of the arena. quite honestly, I think spartacus is better than game of thrones, it has more of a fun vibe to it if you know what I'm saying, and plus, it's 300: the TV series, what more could you ask for? lol, I'm sure the prequel gods of the arena will be just as action filled, exciting, gore soaked, and thrilling as one would expect since it's a guy's show ;), here's how I'd rank my favorite episodes so far

1. the red serpent 2. the thing in the pit 3. kill them all

p.s. RIP Andy Whitfield, your performance as spartacus was great :-)

Remarkable Episode I am speechless

Most of the episodes of Spartacus Blood and Sand kept me at the edge of my seat, never letting one anticipate what's to come next. Truly a remarkable story, stunning camera effects and outstanding direction throughout.

Episode 13, well i honestly have no words, it was so freakishly well done that I literally could not stop myself from jumping. Absolutely " OUTSTANDING " story for episode 13, the abundant surprises. This episode alone is "The Best episode of all time" in comparison with anything I have seen on TV. even most movies to such an extent that it may have been one of the biggest summer block busters.

Hats off to you Sir, the directors, writers, Camera crew as well as the Producers.

Request: I humbly beg you to make the Second season just like the first, if not better, though the way you have surpassed expectations more and more with each episode, I suspect that my request will be fulfilled with ease. I have much confidence in the team. Thank you all.

The best season finale I have ever seen. Period.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand was blessed with an amazing team of writers, producers, editors, sound mixers, special effects, and actors.

This series did what every show needs to do: build up from the ground and tie off loose ends while leaving the audience satisfied with the blood-lust that the Romans had coming since episode one.

Everything from the dialogue, the character development, character deaths and introductions, backstabbing, scheming, manipulation, honesty, miscommunication, pride combine to give the most amazing epic finale ever created.

The fight between Spartacus and Crixus was unbelievable! Especially that infamous shield tap Crixus does. It doesn't really answer the question of who's the better gladiator became they were evenly matched the entire time.

What a rush of emotions! You're happy, sad, elated and devastated all at once. The subtle metaphors add to the delight of the episode (for instance, Ashur hides under a body and then literally, slithers out from it- revealing the snake he really is.) Warning though: This is an episode that is mind blowing upon first viewing, but as time goes on and you watch it more and more, it loses its appeal and shock factor.

Watch only once in a while to retain mind blowing effect.

The only reason why I gave this a 9 instead of 10 is because overall, I think Revelations and Old Wounds are much better in terms of plot lines coming together and foreshadowing coming to fruition.

Still, Kill Them All is by far the best season finale. Ever.

Kudos to Andy Whitfield for a perfect performance for the season.

Best ending

To be honest there is no better ending for the season than this one, they ended the parts of the story as i wished to be ended and they kept a little details for the coming seasons, it was perfect.

GOOSEBUMPS!!

When Crixus taps and whispers "Spartacus..." you know its going to be all hell from now on,

in a good way. All of the betrayals, relationships tie up to a knot in this episode and Blood demands Blood.

Incredible finale

Warning: Spoilers
One of the best seasonfinales of any show.

  • Spartacus gets his revenge finally.

  • Lucretia is been going wild on everyone and all her allies and at the end she gets what she deserves. Even more then Batiatus.

  • Bariatus is for me the best character on the show. He has done an incredible job as a villain. Perfect ending for him.

  • Good to see Illytia finally get some back on Lucretia.

  • Also great converations before the ending between Spartacus and Crixus.

  • Also have to mention Ashur. What an great cast for the show. He does his role 100% perfect.
