Kill Bill 3 Will Probably Never Happen Now

Kill Bill 3 Will Probably Never Happen Now
This fall marks the 15th Anniversary of director Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill, which under normal circumstances, would likely be the perfect platform to discuss the long-awaited Kill Bill: Vol. 3, which has been rumored for years. Over the weekend, star Uma Thurman came forward with a rather shocking expose detailing how she was sexually assaulted by Harvey Weinstein in 1994, and how she was involved in a rather horrific car crash on the set of Kill Bill, which was released as two parts but shot as one big movie. With the actress coming forward against her director and producer now, any chance of Kill Bill Vol. 3 has seemingly been eradicated.

Uma Thurman revealed in her New York Times piece that she felt uncomfortable about performing a driving stunt with a car she thought was unsafe, with the actress calling the car a "deathbox" since the seat wasn't screwed down properly.

Why Quentin Tarantino’s Manson Murders Project Would Be a Radical Change of Pace

Why Quentin Tarantino’s Manson Murders Project Would Be a Radical Change of Pace
It’s safe to say that Quentin Tarantino is not happy about Tuesday’s breaking news that his next almost-finished untitled script is based on the true history of the Charles Manson murders. That’s because the writer-director, who is one of Hollywood’s great true auteurs with a unique voice that is inimitable, likes to write his screenplays in private.

Tarantino is an artist, backed by patrons Bob and Harvey Weinstein, who has routinely turned down big-studio directing gigs in order to pursue his own muse. And he can be sensitive to the slings and arrows of public opinion. That’s because he wants to leave a meaningful cinematic legacy of just 10 films. So while he could always change his mind (as Steven Soderbergh did) about his career path, Tarantino does not take lightly his choice of what those last two films will be. (The last one might be “Kill Bill: Vol. 3,

'Kill Bill 3' Is Closer to Happening Says Quentin Tarantino

'Kill Bill 3' Is Closer to Happening Says Quentin Tarantino
Ever since Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2 hit theaters a few months apart in 2003 and 2004, fans have been clamoring for director Quentin Tarantino to revisit this beloved classic with Kill Bill: Vol. 3. While there are no official plans in the works for this long-awaited follow-up, the director recently told Variety, while doing press for The Hateful Eight, that he may in fact revisit his beloved character The Bride/Beatrix Kiddo (Uma Thurman) at some point in the future. Quentin Tarantino admitted that he wasn't always keen on the idea of going back for another sequel, but now he has changed his tune.

"I've been very non-committal about it. I'm not committing to it, but I wouldn't be surprised if The Bride made one more appearance before the whole thing is said and done. I am talking to Uma (Thurman) about it just a little bit. Some of

Quentin Tarantino Reveals Plans for ‘Kill Bill 3’ (Video)
It’s been 11 years since Uma Thurman’s “Kill Bill” heroine last graced the big screen and 12 years since The Bride first fought her way to audience’s hearts. But she’s not dead yet.

Director Quentin Tarantino told Variety that “Kill Bill 3” is still a possibility.

“I’m not committing to it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if The Bride made one more appearance before the whole thing is said and done,” he said during a recent interview as part of our “Contenders Conversations” series. “I am talking to Uma about it just a little bit. Some of the stuff that I’d written that never made it into the movie that maybe I could use.”

Although Tarantino is now looking forward to catching up with Sofie Fatale, Elle Driver and other characters, he wasn’t initially interested in writing or helming a third installment: “I felt I

'Kill Bill 3' Still Possible; What's Taking So Long?

'Kill Bill 3' Still Possible; What's Taking So Long?
Ever since Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2 were released over ten years ago, fans have been wondering when director Quentin Tarantino will return to finish the story with Kill Bill: Vol. 3. He's always teased that Beatrix Kiddo will return in some capacity. So where is this sequel? According to the man behind this Christmas' The Hateful Eight, it could could very well happen in the far off future. But there's a perfectly good reason why we haven't seen it yet.

Where has The Bride been this past decade? Taking a rest, of course. She certainly deserved a long one after everything that happened to her in the first two movies. Tarantino explains that the idea is to pick back up with the story in real time. However many years has passed on our plain of existence will be the same for Kiddo. And because of that, it's

Watch and Listen to Quentin Tarantino and Cast Talk ‘The Hateful Eight’ For Four Hours

While we’re not yet allowed to expand on our thoughts when it comes to Quentin Tarantino‘s The Hateful Eight, its placement on our December preview should tell you everything you need to know before our official review is posted. As we still await the full list of theaters showing the snowy western in 70mm, today we have a number of (mostly spoiler-free) pieces to notch up the anticipation to even greater level.

First up, and most substantial, the director recently sat down with Ben Mankiewicz for an extensive one-hour conversation in which they discuss all things Tarantino. Beginning with talk about The Hateful Eight, Tarantino compares the 70mm experience versus the digital (which he notes might be more intense, as there’s no intermission). They also discuss the intriguing casting, as there are few major A-list stars in the ensemble, perhaps aside from a cameo.

Segueing into Jackie Brown,

Comic-Con: Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Hateful Eight’ Gets Ennio Morricone Score, New Poster

Comic-Con: Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Hateful Eight’ Gets Ennio Morricone Score, New Poster
Quentin Tarantino assembled his “The Hateful Eight” team for a panel at Comic-Con in San Diego on Saturday.

During the panel, Tarantino announced that legendary film composer Ennio Morricone will write the score for “Hateful Eight,” marking his first Western score in 40 years. Morricone is best known for his innovative music for the spaghetti Westerns, particularly “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.”

The director was joined by the main cast members who make up the titular “Eight,” minus Samuel L. Jackson, who provided the voiceover for one of the videos presented during the panel. Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tim Roth and Bruce Dern were among those from the cast attending the discussion.

“Quentin has greatest attention to detail as any director who ever lived,” Dern said. “If he had a rival it would only be Luchino Visconti.”

Never one to hesitate to speak his mind, Tarantino used the

Quentin Tarantino No Longer Interested in Kill Bill Vol. 3, But He Wants to Do a Horror Movie

Quentin Tarantino No Longer Interested in Kill Bill Vol. 3, But He Wants to Do a Horror Movie
For fans of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2 who were hoping to see Kill Bill: Vol. 3 some day, the director reveals in a recent interview that he has no plans to make that sequel at this time.

Though, he does hint at taking on the horror genre.

"I've done what I wanted to do by the time I was this age. Today, I'm further down the road. There are no genres I absolutely want to do any more, like ticking boxes: 'This, done'. I don't think about Kill Bill 3 that much, as... we already visited them. If there was something I would like to work on again, it would be Honshu's movies, maybe. Or a horror movie, perhaps."

While he doesn't want to revisit the action/kung fu genre with Kill Bill 3, the filmmaker revealed last month that his next project will be another Western.

Uma Thurman Dazzles at Louis Vuitton Opening

She is known for her keen sense of style, and on Tuesday (April 23) Uma Thurman was on hand for the opening of the Louis Vuitton Maison opening in Munich, Germany.

Elegantly clothed in a vibrant blue frock, the “Playing for Keeps” stunner posed for photos with the key players in the luxury label's heritage.

In career news, fans of the Boston native may soon see her reprise her role in the recently announced third installment of the “Kill Bill” movies.

Though few details are known, the talented actress may sign on to “Kill Bill: Vol. 3,” which will once again be written and directed by Quentin Tarantino.

Scorsese & Tarantino: Whose Streets Are Meaner?

I’ve got Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino on my mind these days. It’s a product of the end-of-year hurrahs for Scorsese’s Hugo. The film goes into the Academy Award ceremonies with 11 Oscar nominations – the most of any film this year – including a Best Director nod for Scorsese. Win or lose, Marty’s on a roll having already taken a Golden Globe for his work on the film, and selection as Best Director by the National Board of Review (the Board also named Hugo Best Picture). And that doesn’t include the film’s placing on any number of critic’s Year’s Best lists.

What does all this have to do with Tarantino? It brings to mind a statement the younger filmmaker had made about Scorsese some years ago.

They’ve always been linked, these two. Tarantino had been anointed by more than a few as “the

Quentin Tarantino Says ‘Kill Bill: Vol. 3’ Is Still Being Planned; Director Reveals Unlikely ‘Django’ Connection

I’ve always kept it to myself, this deep, dark belief that Kill Bill: Vol. 3 just isn’t a very good idea. At this point, I’d trust Quentin Tarantino to do anything (“and when I say anything, I mean an. y. thin. g.“), yet there’s never been any real justification behind another story in the life of Beatrix Kiddo — which, if you’re a true fan, you only see as one large tale in the first place. Vivica A. Fox‘s daughter from the first movie goes after our hero and her daughter? Well… if you want to do that, okay…

If you’re uninitiated, here’s the quote on the matter that we’ve been reading for eight years:

“Oh yeah, initially I was thinking this would be my ‘Dollars Trilogy.’ I was going to do a new one every ten years. But I need at
