I saw this film at the Phoenix film festival a few years ago and ran into one of the actors recently at a workshop. He was very humble and sent me a copy of the film.
I watched it again and wow. The pace is fast and effective. It drops in on an obvious drug deal that seems to be going as planned. And then all hell breaks loose. I will not go into details because it would give too much away. I will admit in the first few minutes I thought this was just another drug/gang film. While it starts out that way, it quickly takes you into a unique and exciting situation.
The acting by the main players is very well done. There were a few parts where the dialog seemed forced and unnecessary.
The look of the film is excellent, but the most impressive aspect of the film is the sound! Sound is very crucial and usually is the aspect that takes away from films such as this one. I remember being impressed at the screening, but the DVD I received also sounded professional on my sound system.
I was told by the actor that they are wanting to do more with this. I would like to see what they can add to this.
