When Gabi discovers it's a Romanian doctor who can tutor, she volunteers to switch tasks, but Carlos fires her as incompetent. A Bolen home dinner convinces Bree that Angie is too vulgar to consider hiring for her catering firm, but an Italo-Bronx couple's 500 guests menu requires Angie's type of Italian cuisine is too tempting, so she sneakily borrows ancestral recipes 'for an ailing relative'. Considering the police investigation against Katherine lacks commitment, Susan grabs Denise Lapera's offer to take over, without realizing in time it's a vindictive high-school victim eager to side with Katherine. In the Mary Alice open we learn how Julie and Nick got together: she came over to tutor Danny and chatted with him, bumped into a cafe and talked for hours, met him later and began to fell in love but then broke it off. He won't let it go though and shows up to talk to her. They fight and Lynette overhears this as she approaches the house. Julie answers the door in tears and Nick leaves. Julie explains about the affair and how he won't let it go and when he comes over he confuses her. Lynette says she has to tell Susan. Julie asks her not to. Lynette says she'll end it with Nick for her and that will be the end of it and she won't tell Susan.
Later Lynette marches over to Nick and tells him to back off or he'll regret it. Nick claims that it was Julie that pursued him. Lynette doesn't care, Nick is a married grown-up. Nick grabs her arm and says if he hears that she told anyone she's going to be the one that regrets it. Lynette goes home and tells Tom she thinks Nick might've attacked Julie. They call Julie over and say they must go to the police. Julie says there's no way he could've done it, he loves her. Tom and Lynette go to the police and spill the beans.
In our next storyline Juanita is still being bratty about being homeschooled and it's not helping that Gaby is a somewhat abusive teacher. She asks Carlos for help and he concedes it's not fair for her to have to take care of the house and school Juanita so he gets her a housekeeper. It turns out that the housekeeper is Phd from Romania who is a great tutor so Gaby lets her do it. But when Carlos comes home and finds the house a mess he's mad and has the agency send a different maid. Gaby is upset and finds out where the Romanian is brings Juanita there. In exchange for her help, Gaby scrubs the floor of the house she's supposed to be cleaning. Of course, Carlos eventually gets wind of this and busts Gaby. She explains that homeschooling Juanita is ruining their relationship and that one day she will teach her the things she knows about clothes, make-up and boys but until then she needs help. Carlos concedes and says they can get a real tutor.
Now that Susan thinks Katherine might be a suspect thanks to Angie (who clearly did it now right?) she and Mike go to the police and ask them to interview her. Without evidence the two male cops say they can't and seem more interested in their lunch than justice in Susan's opinion. A female detective pipes up that she'll take the case, Susan is grateful. Until the next day when she finds out that the detective Denise LaPerra, is a girl she tormented in high school by accidentally launching the nickname "Moose" on her and unintentionally stealing her boyfriend. To add insult to injury she doesn't remember Denise who is clearly still holding a grudge. Unfortunately, Susan doesn't realize any of this until Det. LaPerra goes over to interview Katherine and Mike starts looking over their yearbook to jog her memory. When LaPerra leaves Katherine's house, they hug, commiserating over being on the receiving end of boyfriend-stealing by Susan Mayer. Susan goes back to the police station to cajole the two male cops back on the case when LaPerra comes in and arrests her for shooting Katherine and not reporting it, which is a crime. She cackles like a crazy person as she locks Susan up in a cell and walks away.
In our final, intertwined, storyline Bree and Orson go to the Bolens for a massive six course Italian dinner which turns out to be Angie's audition to work for Bree. (On the way to dinner Orson mentions that the antique store where Bree says she got the cameo only sells furniture. She says she must've been mistaken and bought it at another place.) Bree really likes Angie's food but she's taken aback by what Orson calls her "earthy" style and says she doesn't need any help at the moment. She and Nick then fight about it in front of Bree and Orson. Later, when some Italian-Americans come in looking for Bree to do a catering job she claims Italian heritage and great family recipes to get the job. She then lies to Angie to get her recipes. But in making them they don't taste as good as Angie's and she starts getting in the weeds. (As she does Orson comes in with a replacement cameo from the jewelry store and Bree goes off saying she doesn't want romantic gestures from him she wants a divorce). Angie shows up to drop off a food gift and spies what Bree is making and figures it out and snatches back her recipes. Bree goes to apologize and beg for Angie's help. But first Angie wants to know why Bree doesn't like her. She essentially says she's vulgar and can't keep anything to herself. Angie laughs at this and says to trust her, the one thing she can do is keep a secret. She calls Bree a tightass but says she's clearly in a bind and Angie needs a job so they come to a truce and head back to cook.
Later, Nick returns home and Angie tells him she got a job. He's happy for her. She also mentions the police called asking him for an alibi for the night of Julie's attack. He's all "I wonder why?" She says it's because he was having an affair with her. The police didn't tell her, she says she's known for weeks but she also knows that he didn't attack her so she lied and said he was with her the whole night. He thanks her. She says she knows he's been through a lot with her but neither of them can leave so this is his one get-out-of-jail-free card. He asks if they're okay. She smiles at him, punches him in the nose, and says "now we're okay."
