Ramsey: The Vandy Case

This indie flick definitely has the film noir vibe. The film is dreamy and characters are somewhat languorous and sultry. Interestingly in Michaela's apartment, there is a a light up sign saying "it was all a dream"....

The film is a bit slow at first as each of the characters is developed and leads investigated by Ramsey. As the movie evolves, you learn that is just Ramsey's personality and his way of reaching conclusions about each of the potential suspects.

His interactions with estranged family members and former co-workers also demonstrate the inner conflicts he has and the need to be honest with himself.

The last half hour of the film ties the pieces together well and when the killer is revealed..... wow, what a twist!
