Storyline

Anna Wallner and Kristina Matisic are long time friends, consumer advocates, and novice home cooks. On each episode of the show, they evaluate all aspects of a cookbook currently available on Canadian bookstore shelves. Although they do some pretesting of the books for several weeks, their ultimate challenge is to prepare a meal in their home kitchen solely from recipes contained within the cookbook for an executive chef guest. Regardless of their cooking prowess or lack thereof, Anna and Kristina, with comments from their guest chef, provide their overall review of the cookbook. Those they recommend get the "A&K stamp of approval". In addition, they product test various types of a piece of kitchen cooking equipment and taste test different brands of a food product required for the preparation of their meal. Written by Huggo

cute reality show

I like watching these adorable Canadian ladies cook a meal in a small amount of time for a chef out of various cookbooks. some cookbooks are trendy and have a nutty themeslike everything has one common ingredient or everything is grilled.

some your mom or grandma definitely cooked out of. They tell you what problems they had and show you the results they got.I like that they show you have to pair wine/beer and cheese and what not to do.

They even do little taste tests at different places with key ingredients and see what people pick. I also love that they are so silly and irreverent the whole time and make me laugh. I ended up cooking out a few of the cookbooks just because they cooked out of them and the one I am buying because everything was so good in it.
