Thomas E. Diggs, Jr. is a regular guy who used loved as his superpower to save thousands of kids from the perils of the crime and crack infested mean streets of his Brooklyn hood. 'For The Love of Diggs' documentary is a love story at its core about one man who changed the game for the kids in his hood. Thomas E. Diggs, Jr. is a retired postal worker who had dedicated thirty-five plus years of his life to keeping the youth in the Bed-Stuy section of Brooklyn off the streets, off of drugs, and out of jail. All these years he never received his just due. Until now. This documentary returns the love to sender by honoring Thomas Diggs with heart-felt stories and personal testimonies from the very souls he saved.

Act One A man named Thomas E. Diggs, Jr. dedicated his live to the kids of the Brevoort Housing Projects. For thirty-five years he was a father, mentor, protector and community leader to three generations of children in the Brooklyn, New York community. We explore Diggs' upbringing and why he had to grow up so quickly.

Act Two The Measure of a man is measured by where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. Tragedy can trigger man things in a person. We find out how Diggs' tragedy plays a big role in the man that he becomes. Diggs takes on the village and creates the Brevoort Midget League which ironically becomes is legacy.

Act Three Sadly enough, Diggs was never given any true acknowledgment for his dedicated service to the community...until now! All of the young children and teens from the Brevoort Housing Projects are now all grown up and are coming together to return the LOVE back to Diggs. The goal is to give Diggs his flowers while he can still smell them.
