This series was created after Universal Pictures had lost the rights to reboot The Vampire Chronicles, with Jared Leto rumored to be cast as Lestat in the remake of Interview With The Vampire. It was slated that Interview, The Vampire Lestat, Queen Of The Damned and Tale Of The Body Thief were all going to be be made/remade theatrically until the rights went back to Anne Rice.
