Storyline

Immediately upon the guys' arrival back from the three month long Arctic expedition, Leonard, Howard and Raj make a confession to Sheldon about their participation in Sheldon's research at the North Pole. This confession threatens Sheldon's research, his job and his friendship with the threesome. Sheldon's mother may at least have the answer to fixing the friendship. Meanwhile, Penny is really happy to see Leonard home. Leonard is equally happy to be home to see Penny. But every time they are about ready to embark on their first sexual encounter with each other, something always seems to get in the way. Written by Huggo

Trivia

In both the original broadcast version and the DVD version, Sheldon (Jim Parsons)'s mother is clearly drinking a can of Pepsi. In the original broadcast version she later tells Howard (Simon Helberg), "You'll take a cola!" But in the DVD version she says "You'll take a coke!" Though, in the Southern part of the US (and Texas especially), where the scene takes place, the word "coke" is synonymous with sodas of any brand or flavor. So, Sheldon's mother saying "You'll take a coke" is more true to form for Texans than the version of the phrase used in the original broadcast (even if she was referring to a Pepsi). See more »

Goofs

Penny uses an analogy from the Star Trek movie to try to cheer up Sheldon. Throughout the entire series, however, she makes no secret of the fact that she finds the Star Trek series boring. If the boys weren't at home to take her to the movie, why would she have gone to know that plot detail? See more »

Quotes

Leonard Hofstadter: It was the only way to make him happy.
Penny: Why did you have to make him happy?
Leonard Hofstadter: Because when he wasn't happy, we wanted to kill him. There was even a plan! We were going to throw his Kindle outside and when he went to get it, lock the door and let him freeze to death.
Sheldon Cooper: That seems like a bit of an overreaction!
Leonard Hofstadter: No. The overreaction was the plan to tie your limbs to four different sled dog teams and yell "mush!"

Crazy Credits

At the end of the credits vanity card #256 is shown, which is a picture captioned with "THANKS, COMIC-CON!" The picture has been manipulated from it's original form. This is very apparent as many audience members have been duplicated and or mirrored. One of note is the man wearing a green shirt who appears on both lower corners of the picture. See more »

Great show, ruined in season 3..
15 February 2011 | by msn-978-678214See all my reviews

The show in it self is great, if you can stand to watch it. I certainly can't.

The issue is pretty simple, they filmed it in-front of an live audience that laughs all the the time in a really laud and annoying way, and it do really sound (and seem) like they laugh on queue, someone holding up a sign saying "laugh now".

It totally ruins the show, a show that properly is good, but i cant watch for more then 5mins before I get too annoyed.

So before you run out an buy this season check it up on youtube or something and see if you can stand the annoyance. If you can't then don't waste your money and time.
