There's truly nothing like a slow-burn friends to lovers story that really gets me going. I wanna experience falling in love with my best friend again.
I was rooting for them the whole time, they had such good chemistry. I love gina rodriguez i swear she can do no wrong in these roles
it was hard to not see jane the virgin, winston from new girl, lucifer and the guy from the kissing booth but i loved their group dynamic. Also liza?? Ive missed my babygirl
honestly pretty good movie, i thoroughly enjoyed it. Netflix movies usually are hit or miss and i know some people will hate on it but definitely a good casual movie. At least i felt the characters had some sort of chemistry and they're so real for manipulating every situation to get the guy they want
girl i'd fake my whole persona for a hot man with an accent too.

At first, the main cast of the movie comes across as knock-off, less egregious versions of Barney Stinson from "How I Met Your Mother," but eventually, the movie matures in a way I wasn't expecting it to. I would think a lot of people in their late twenties to early thirties could relate to the struggle of wanting to move from casual dating to serious relationships, and then holding onto dear life anybody who shows promise of a serious relationship. It was cool it all play out.
The movie won't give you a lot to laugh at, but I think it does give you a bit to think about. And that's always nice.

I can never understand critics ratings on Rom-Coms so I never really pay attention when it comes to these kind of movies. In my view, for these to work you have to have a strong talented female lead, good script and be creative with how the love transpires, even if you give some of the clues early. The lead actress, Gina Rodriguez was on point because she was cute, funny and human. Most of us regardless of age don't understand our own feelings and she eventually got it which I thought played out well with the script. Where they messed up with her is that I really never understood the reason for the "one night stand" process or maybe they didn't flush the reasoning out clearly. I think the male counterparts were weak because Mr. Lucifer didn't seem to fit the gorgeous, supposedly adult male part and Mr. Wyans seems to have good chemistry with Gina but his mood was to negative looking for some reason and he was pessimistic most of the time so the obvious was noticed early in the movie. I won't spoil anything by talking about the romance and love areas of the movie. I think these type stories should be short limited series, like 4-5 episodes to flush out all the back stories like the Koreans do with there kdramas, which are excellent at this kind of material.
Overall, good job by Gina Rodriguez and she pretty much carries this across the finish line!

I thought this movie would be more of a group of people having fun and running a Playbook similar to Barney Stinson in HIMYM. However, it feels like a long drawn out trope for one guy that doesn't even feel exciting. The cast has some good and bad chemistry. At some points they're enjoyable together and at others annoying. The romance is relatively weak. The sub-romance was more intriguing than the main one. The lives, the backgrounds aren't very interesting. The overall length of the film is too long. I lost a lot of interest throughout and was thankful by the time it ended. It drags on and has no redeeming qualities. Hopefully you're not wasting your time watching it on Valentine's Day cause it's not a worthy V-Day movie.
That's all for now. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. Until next time.... Enjoy the show!

Players is a new addition to Netflix's roster of rom cons and at this point it might start to get stale, but I thought this was fun. Gina Rodriguez is looking better all the time. She's a bit of a player and has a list of different ways to get men in her bed. She falls for tom Ellis but his a cock so there is no spark. It's a bit of a predictable movie in the sense that we all could tell how it would end. I thought it was a fun watch though and for me atleast it got a couple of little laughs from me. It came out just in time for valentine's so it's nice seeing a pretty woman get it on. Overall players is cheesy and predictable but overall still not bad.
