While riding a water toy, a man, Daniel Su, sustains a gunshot to his chest; he dies on the way to a hospital; he was an electronics engineer who five years ago defected to the USA from North Korea; his own firm two weeks ago won a contract with the US Department of Defense for the creation of a communication system for the Marine Corps; the SecNav expresses interest; Callen and company investigate. G and Sam find the body of Daniel's business partner. Eric and the gang see that Daniel's shooter is an Asian chick; Vance gives her name (Kai) and says that they're in a pile of trouble; Eric learns that she's North Korean. While G and Sam watch, Kai takes a shot at Jimmy, Daniel's brother; Kai and Vance have a chat; Dom goes underground as a cop; Kai opens fire again and takes return fire but gets away again; Abby, in Washington, provides information, which allows Kensi to get a confession; Dom loses a button.
