Elementary Season 6 Episode 8 Review: Sand Trap

Too bad things didn't work out for Joan.

But Sherlock was back in fine form on Elementary Season 6 Episode 8.

Three months had elapsed since Sherlock left for a recovery vacation on Elementary Season 6 Episode 7.

For three months, Sherlock was locked away in a cabin and behaved himself. Well, except for that case involving a falsely accused black bear. I would have loved to have seen that case of the week.

But, alas, that was not meant to be. I guess there's no location budget.

Still, not to worry. There was a fascinating case for Sherlock upon his return.

Yup, it was the old body-encased-in-cement trope.

It was naturally the dunce on the construction site who uncovered the body, slicing it up in the process. Nothing is ever easy, is it?

Sherlock, of course, found the deceased woman's smart bracelet, or more precisely, the

Benedict Cumberbatch Insists He’s “Not A Hero” After Saving Cyclist From Muggers

Proving he’s every bit the hero off-screen, you may have heard the news that Benedict Cumberbatch last week leapt to the defense of a Deliveroo cyclist after he was attacked by four muggers in central London.

But in typically self-deprecating fashion, the actor, best known for his roles in Avengers: Infinity War and Sherlock, downplayed his actions, and insists he’s “not a hero” despite scaring off the perpetrators before they could inflict any serious, long-lasting damage.

Per The Sun, Cumberbatch revealed that he was travelling in an Uber with his wife, Sophie Hunter, when he noticed the altercation, at which point he began shouting “leave him alone.” That’s according to his taxi driver at the time, Manual Dias, who added that the “brave and selfless” Cumberbatch helped save the Deliveroo cyclist from nasty head injuries, as witnesses revealed that he’d been struck over the head with

‘Doctor Who’ follows ‘Sherlock’s’ path to Emmys: It enters the race as a TV movie instead of a drama series

‘Doctor Who’ follows ‘Sherlock’s’ path to Emmys: It enters the race as a TV movie instead of a drama series
The 2018 Emmy ballots were released to the public on June 11 to coincide with the start of Emmy voting, and there’s one surprise for “Doctor Who” fans. You won’t find the long-running sci-fi show competing as a drama series. Instead, you’ll find it in the race for Best TV Movie. That’s how Steven Moffat‘s other show, “Sherlock,” grabbed Emmys in recent years.

Doctor Who” aired its 10th season from April 15 to July 1, 2017, so most of those episodes were eligible to compete in last year’s Emmy race. But then the show returned on December 25 for its annual Christmas special, titled “Twice Upon a Time.” And it was especially meaningful as it was the farewell episode for Peter Capaldi in the title role. It ended with the time-travelling Doctor regenerating into his 13th form — and the first ever female form (Jodie Whittaker) in the 55-year history of the show.

Sherlock: The Game Is Now Escape Room Coming To London This Fall

Last month, on International Sherlock Holmes Day, a new Sherlock adventure was teased when YouTube channel Agent221b shared a video of creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss announcing something called The Game Is Now. They clarified that it wasn’t a new episode, but would still be an “actual,” “proper” new adventure.

This was followed up a short snippet of an audio conversation between Sherlock and Mycroft, with Benedict Cumberbatch and Gatiss reprising their roles. It teased a situation where Mycroft’s looking to recruit “real people” to fill out Sherlock’s network of informants while his brother’s busy in Europe.

So, what does it all mean? Well, the truth has now been revealed and it seems a new interactive event is coming to London which will allow Sherlock fans everywhere to test their own deductive reasoning as they try to escape and solve the case themselves. Written by Moffat and Gatiss,

Benedict Cumberbatch On New Seasons Of Sherlock: “Never Say Never”

Long before he landed a plum gig in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Benedict Cumberbatch was solving riddles and cracking cases as Sherlock Holmes, the legendary detective based on the stories of Arthur Conan Doyle.

It’s a series that has spanned four seasons – so far, at least – though fans are still holding out hope that Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman will return for a fifth season of Sherlock. Truth be told, there’s been much back-and-forth (and some heated controversy) about the show’s future, but during a recent interview with Deadline, Benedict Cumberbatch admitted that he’s currently finding more enjoyment in projects beyond 221b Baker Street.

Oh, Strange? Just try to stop me. That’s all kind of lined up as far as I’m aware, but who knows? I mean, you know, the problem is, how does he get out of where he’s at. But that’s the only thing.

Elementary Season 6 Episode 6 Review: Give Me the Finger

It's hard to put my finger on what I liked best about Elementary Season 6 Episode 6.

Sorry. I couldn't resist.

At the center of this case of the week was a unique brand of digital storage.

Who knew there was a booming market for retired Yakuza seeking artificial fingers?

When you start with a retired Yakuza as the victim of this case, there are so many directions that things could go.

And Sherlock, Joan, and Marcus did go all over the place seeking Ando's killer.

As a former mobster, a natural murderer would be someone he had worked with in the past or something that he had done recently to step back into that life.

But, no, that would have been too obvious. Plus, good luck finding a killer within that organization.

Fortunately, an active Yakuza pointed out suspicious activity by Ando that

Avengers: Infinity War Star Benedict Cumberbatch Saves Man From Muggers

If you’re thinking of robbing someone, here’s a tip for you: first of all, don’t. Secondly, certainly don’t attempt it mere meters from where a renowned crime fighter spends large amounts of his time. But these handy tips are too little, too late for the four muggers who jumped a Deliveroo driver, only to come a cropper when Avengers: Infinity War star Benedict Cumberbatch intervened.

When the four assailants struck the delivery cyclist over the head with a bottle, Doctor Strange himself materialized from within a time portal (taxi) and cast the Bolts of Bedevilment spell (shouted loudly to “leave him alone”), dodged the villains’ punches (for real) and chased them from the scene. Speaking to The Sun, the sometimes Stephen Strange said, “I did it out of, well, I had to, you know.”

What makes the story even more extraordinary is that it all went

Benedict Cumberbatch's Long, Hard Road to Decadence, Depravity and 'Patrick Melrose'

Benedict Cumberbatch's Long, Hard Road to Decadence, Depravity and 'Patrick Melrose'
Earlier today, in Malibu, CA, not far from the water, a few hours after first light, naked in bed because his jammies were in the wash, Benedict Cumberbatch, 41, came to life. He would have risen earlier but the night before he'd been in Las Vegas, plumping his voice-over work for Mowgli, Warner Bros.'s new feral-child take on The Jungle Book, and the night before that, after the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War, featuring him as stalk-like wizard-like Dr. Strange, he and his brown-velvet Armani suit had stayed up nearly
