Storyline

Insurance agent John Allen was strangled and thrown off a roof into a tree. On the way to the morgue, masked men intercept the ambulance and hold Castle and Lanie at gun-point to steal the corpse. Later, the corpse is found, again, but it had been cut open and the organs were removed. The widow refuses to consider infidelity and points at former colleague Max Haverstock. But it turns out both were fired eight months before and only Max got another job. Meanwhile, only the mayor and the chief prevent Becket from severing Castle's privileged ties with the NYPD. She gets Castle to agree that after this case, if she asks him to leave, he would and Castle agrees to the terms. So he takes risks to redeem himself after the trail leads to an underground poker game in Chinatown and Russian mobsters. But it may be Alexis who has the key to swaying Beckett's decision. Goofs

Castle inexplicably describes his winning poker hand, a straight (65432), as an "inside straight". An inside straight is a straight with a card missing from inside (rather than at an end of) the sequence, such as 987_5 or 87_54 or 7_543 (the fifth card being other than the necessary 6) -- a worthless hand.
