'Megan Wants A Millionaire' Star Gets a New Show

Her show may be canceled, but Megan Hauserman is not taking the blame. The star of "Megan Wants A Millionaire" will be featured in a new reality show now that "Millionaire" was taken off air due to a homicide case involving one of the contestants, Ryan Jenkins.

In order to keep Megan quiet about Jenkins' criminal case and to compensate her loss of air time, VH1 offered the 27-year-old her own show. A source told RadarOnline that before axing "Millionaire", VH1 "promised Megan her own show...that's how they bought her silence."

No more detail is released about the new show but the source said it will no longer employ the dating theme. Plus, it may as well be an unscripted show despite Megan's request of having it scripted.

The VH1 reality series "Megan Wants a Millionaire" has officially been canceled following the homicide and apparent suicide controversy of one of its contestants Ryan Jenkins.

Jenkins, 32, was found dead in a Canadian motel room on Sunday from an apparent suicide, which brought an end to an international manhunt for his search. He had been wanted for the murder of his wife, Jasmine Fiore, whose mutilated body was found stuffed in a suitcase in a trash bin.

He was one of the hopefuls for the hand of reality show veteran Megan Hauserman in the "Bachelorette"-style show, in which seventeen wealthy single men compete for her love. It had debuted on air on August 2, but had been postponed and eventually canceled altogether after the controversy.

Suspect in U.S. model murder found dead

Vancouver, British Columbia -- A reality TV star wanted for the brutal murder of his bikini model ex-wife in California has been found dead in a motel near Vancouver, Canadian police said on Sunday.

Ryan Jenkins, a Canadian who was the subject of a manhunt in the United States and Canada, apparently took his own life while hiding at the motel in Hope, British Columbia, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Local media said Jenkins hung himself, but Canadian police refused to confirm details of his death after finding his body in the motel room on Sunday.

Authorities in California had charged Jenkins, 32, with the murder of Jasmine Fiore, whose mutilated body was found in a suitcase stuffed into a trash bin just over a week ago in the town of Buena Park outside Los Angeles.

Reality TV Star Ryan Jenkins Found Dead in a Motel

The manhunt for "Megan Wants A Millionaire" contestant is over with Ryan Jenkins found dead at Thunderbird Motel in Hope, British Columbia. The 32-year-old was a fugitive after his model wife Jasmine Fiore's body was found on August 14, stuffed in a suitcase and dumped in a trash can at Buena Park, California.

Police responded to a call about a dead person from a location in Hope, east of Vancouver. Investigators involved in the international manhunt for Jenkins were quickly alerted. His body was able to be identified and confirmed through fingerprinting.

Jenkins is suspected to have hung himself but police won't confirm that Jenkins died out of suicide attempt, saying it is too early to determine the cause of death. Sgt. Duncan Pound told People, "What we're prepared to say is that the preliminary evidence at this time appears to be a suicide."

An intense manhunt is under way in British Columbia for Ryan Alexander Jenkins, the former VH1 reality-show contestant accused of murdering his ex-wife, former swimsuit model Jasmine Fiore.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Canadian police are using helicopters and police dogs to search for Jenkins, 32, who is believed to have slipped into Canada on Wednesday after allegedly killing and mutilating his wife and stuffing her body into a garbage bin in Buena Park, California.

An arrest warrant was issued for Jenkins, who is believed to be armed and dangerous, and who prosecutors in Orange County have charged with murder in the case.
