MPAA Rated R for violence and peril

Sex & Nudity

  • The main character wears a semi-revealing shirt for the vast majority of the movie, though she isn't sexualized at all

Violence & Gore

  • A dog is seemingly shot and killed. Unsure if shown onscreen but the dog being shot is heard and it barks when shot.
  • There is some blood shown on character's faces, but otherwise the violence is rather tame as far as graphic-ness goes.
  • A young boy is forced into someone else's car. He can clearly be seen struggling.
  • The majority of the movie is a car chase. Characters, specifically children, are often put in peril as a result.
  • A few car crashes.
  • A woman gets hit by a car. She is seen with a pained expression, implying she is hurt, but not dead.
  • A woman is seen with blood on her face from a car crash.
  • Characters shoot at each other with a shotgun.
  • One character is hit over the head with a shovel. We later see his bruised face.
  • One character is drowned.
  • A car slides down a slope and hits a tree, where one of the characters inside is crushed and killed. May be some blood but nothing else, but it may be disturbing to some viewers.
  • Two characters fight in a car and one gets pushed out. We later see the character who got pushed out covered in red sores, likely from the tumble she took when she fell from a moving vehicle.

  • Other expletives include a couple sh*t's and g-d**n's as well as several uses of the religious expletive "god."
  • One use of f*ck
  • One or two uses of son of a b*tch

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The movie is about a young boy being kidnapped and his mother who chases down the kidnappers to save him. Some aspects of this movie may frighten younger audiences, and a lot of the action may be considered fast-paced to some viewers
  • The movie is almost entirely a long car chase, so for some it will be a non-stop intense action movie
  • Overall the movie is rather tame for one with this premise as far as violence goes, though there is a decent amount of it. It just isn't graphic.
  • Rated R for peril and violence.
