Details Regarding Arthur Curry's Journey in Aquaman Revealed and He'll Wear His Classic Costume

Some new story details have surfaced for James Wan's Aquaman and it involves the journey that Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) finds himself on in the film. There's still a lot we don't know about the story, but this is a pretty big piece of information.

Aquaman will be searching for the King's Trident while simultaneously trying to stop Orm the Ocean Master's mission of invading and attacking the mainland. Unit publicist Ernie Maluk had this to say during a recent press event:

"Aquaman goes on this quest to find out where the true trident, the king's trident, is."

It's explained that the Quindent Aquaman used in Justice League is "not this trident, the dead king's trident, which is really the trident you want. With this trident, you can control the whole ocean, everything. But only a true king can wield it in their culture."

It was also revealed that

As someone who hasn’t been too keen on most of the Dceu films, I have to say that ‘Aquaman ‘looks to be extremely promising based on this poster. Director James Wan is the perfect choice for bringing Atlantis to life, and it seems that Wan is keen on lightening the tone up a bit.

In less than one year, the King of the Monsters will return to the big screen in the sequel to 2014's Godzilla, and EW recently shared the first images and new plot details from the anticipated follow-up film that further expands Legendary's MonsterVerse.

Speaking with EW, Godzilla: King of the Monsters director Michael Dougherty discussed the mindset of the world after the events of the 2014 film:

"The world is reacting to Godzilla in the same way we would react to any other terrifying incident, in that we are overreacting... there’s paranoia and endless speculation about whether he is the only one out there or whether we’re threatened by others like his kind.”

EW also mentions that humans haven't seen Godzilla since the end of the first movie, although that will likely change once other colossal creatures make themselves known to the world, including the flying Rodan, whom Dougherty

James Wan Denies Rumors Of Mortal Kombat Film Moving Forward

Seeing how the 1995 Mortal Kombat was based on a video game series notorious for its graphic, parent-spooking violence, it’s understandable that the oft-ridiculed adaptation received criticism for its paltry PG-13 violence, among many other issues. In that sense, it’s probably a good omen that the planned reboot is being produced by James Wan, since we get the impression that the creator of the Saw franchise won’t be too shy about piling on the gore.

The bad news, however, is that there may still be a long wait ahead for a film that we’ve already been waiting years for Wan to start working on. That’s because the director of Furious 7 and The Conjuring took to Twitter this week to dispel any recent rumors of things pushing forward with the production, saying:

“Please don’t be so easily baited by faux information. Good & bad news: nothing is happening yet.

Mortal Kombat Reboot Is Not Happening Right Now

Mortal Kombat Reboot Is Not Happening Right Now
Sorry to report, but it sounds like the Mortal Kombat reboot is still a long way off. Development has been underway on a new movie based on the very popular video game franchise for some time now, with Aquaman and The Conjuring director James Wan coming on board as a producer nearly three years ago. Official developments on the project have been few and far between in that time. However, some recent news in the form of a casting breakdown for characters from the movie began circulating online, making it seem like the project is finally gaining steam. Unfortunately, producer Todd Garner dumped a sobering bucket of cold water on things.

Todd Garner took to Twitter in response to a fan who wanted some clarification on the recent news. A character breakdown revealed that the Mortal Kombat reboot would center on a brand new character and have Raiden as a 14-year-old boy.

Vera Farmiga Will Communicate With The Creatures In Godzilla: King Of The Monsters

In the upcoming Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Vera Farmiga will apparently be handling duties as DJ of the monsters. But before you get too excited at the prospect of a Kaiju dance-off, you should probably read the actress’s original statement to get some clarification on what this position entails.

As somone with a history of dealing with frightening forces, be it in 2009’s Orphan or The Conjuring films, Farmiga’s now set to play a paleobiologist named Dr. Emma Russell in the next Godzilla movie. Speaking to Metro, the star shared a few more details on Dr. Russell’s place amidst the film’s epic battle between gigantic beasts, explaining:

“She has figured out a way to communicate with the creatures and potentially control them using their bioacoustics on a sonar level. So she is like a DJ for the monsters.”

Aquaman director James Wan is impressed that Marvel made Captain America and Thor so successful

James Wan, director of the upcoming DC superhero blockbuster Aquaman, is impressed that Marvel made Captain America and Thor so successful, especially overseas.

There’s no doubt that one of the most impressive things Marvel Studios has accomplished is getting people engaged and interested in what were once lesser known characters like Captain America and Thor.

The studio’s ability to make a success out of characters like this is something that has impressed a lot of people, including Aquaman director James Wan.

Speaking to EW, the director said: “I actually think the most incredible thing [Marvel] did is making Captain America and Thor accessible to the mainstream – especially outside of the United States. The moment you can make a character called ‘Captain America’ work in Russia and China, then anything is possible.”

Would you agree with Wan’s praise of Marvel? There surely can be little doubt regarding the impressive

Aquaman and The Conjuring director James Wan has been attached as a producer on the project for quite some time, but that hasn't helped get it going any faster. It's been a very slow process. Now, we have a breakdown of what characters are set to appear in the new Mortal Kombat and there are quite a few surprises.

The Mortal Kombat reboot will introduce a new character named Cole Turner who will be the lead in the movie. "Lead male. 30s. A brand new character to the Mk franchise. We’ve been championing it on the site for months, and now we can reveal that Harry Dean Stanton’s poignant final film Lucky has a UK release date.

The cast also features director David Lynch (Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet), Ron Livingston (The Conjuring, Swingers, Office Space), Ed Begley Jr.(St. Elsewhere), and Tom Skerritt (Alien, Top Gun, Contact).

Our review of the film from the London Film Festival last year read:
