After Lacy's car is stolen, Vic says it is a 1973 280Z. The 280Z was sold in America between model years 1975 and 1978. In model year 1973, only the 240Z was sold in America. See more »
When Lacy parks her car at the beginning of the movie, it is a 2+2 model (4 seats) that has a longer wheelbase. The car that blows up later in the movie is a 2 seat model with a shorter wheelbase, showing a different car was used for this part of the movie. The car that blows up has no motor. This is apparent due to the front end of the car sitting noticeably higher than earlier in the movie. Additionally, there is a mark or damage on the driver's door after the explosion that was not on the other car. See more »

This is the second TV-movie based on the series of fashion mysteries written by Ellen Byerrum. The star is Psych's Maggie Lawson as Lacey Smithsonian, the Crime of Fashion columnist for a Washington, D.C. paper. The crimes of fashion, however, often lead to crimes of passion. Here Lacey is in the middle of the murder of a reality show celebrity who had a big makeover and now is launching a clothing design line.
Lacey's mother (Mary McDonnell) and sister stop by for a visit in this one to add to the fun, and the cameraman is played by Dominic Zamprogna, a Canadian actor who now is appearing on "General Hospital." Though I figured this one out pretty quickly, it didn't take away from the enjoyment. It's a nicely cast TV movie with young, energetic actors. I especially like Sadie LeBlanc as Lacey's friend Stella. Two familiar faces - Mario Cantone and Mark Consuelos - are also on hand.
Hope there will be more of these. These fashion mysteries are a nice change from Lifetime's usual diet of true crime stories and women in jeopardy. Here, the women have some fun.
