I deserve more. I loved the characters but kitty she just went around and fell in love with everyone tf. Well anyways it was good which i wasn't expecting it to be. Minho is so funny. I really enjoyed. It was funnier than expected and it felt like real people interacting and a story that could happen. A bit romanticized obviously and a lot of coincidences that wouldn't happen in real life but i liked the characters depth and how they felt like humans and not so black and white one is evil one is good. Minho was the best thing from the story really. Kitty was my less favorite but she was okay too i guess.
This tv series tries to cram as much drama into 10 episodes as possible and by cramming so much in, it fails to explore any of the characters and themes in a meaningful way. A prime example of this is the love pentagon, with Kitty (the female lead) jumping around from crush to crush, making it difficult to connect with any of her romantic counterparts.
If the series had focused primarily on one or two main themes like Kitty's connection with her mother or her relationship, the series would have emotional substance but instead it comes across as a bottom of barrel rom com that Netflix mass produces.

It's sweet, it's popcorn TV which we all expected - I have enjoyed the binge and would recommend for anyone who is after some light hearted watching
It's cliched, it's Netflix & most importantly it's enjoyable
It won't win any awards but I doubt you will regret a lazy Sunday watching it - Kitty is what I would assume every teenager aspires to be, understanding, forgiving and has no judgment which at this difficult time we all need
👏🏻👏🏻 Netflix it's rivals Emily in Paris without the scenary or fashion
It gave me a warm hug & im not sorry for watching - every review is someone's personal opinion this is mine & I hope you enjoy this show for what it is.
Xo Kitty.

The polarizing reviews have been... interesting. I liked "XO, Kitty" quite a bit. I think it's relatable enough; it fairly captures the uncertainty and chaos surrounding teenage love, even though the series might feel all over the place sometimes. It maintains the charm of the movies and possesses lush and beautiful cinematography and sets - it's satisfying to watch in that way. I think the acting is okay, nothing special. I was initially concerned about character depth (given the show's fast pace), but even though some might feel one-sided, it never felt like I didn't know them. The 'plot twist' surprised me but I'm on the fence about it because it isn't thoroughly justified. While I also commend the writers for avoiding certain cliches they totally could've gone with, the script isn't without its qualms. The unrelenting miscommunication between characters bothered me and started to feel like decisions to further the plot. Overall, I thought it was entertaining enough. It's decent popcorn television (much like everything else from the TATBILB franchise). I've loved the characters so far, and I loved meeting new characters. I wouldn't mind seeing them again.
Just a heads up before I start, but be respectful of others opinions pls. Just because you like or hate something doesn't mean you need others to do the same. Half of this review section is mostly just people hating and others liking while being also very aggressive and forcing.
Anyways, I just wanted to say that I loved the idea of having Lara Jean's sister, Kitty, have her own series but this would've done better if it followed the format of Lara Jean's love story.. in other words maybe a movie series instead of an actual one.
What happened in 10 episodes could have happened in just 2 hours and 30 minutes of watching. Maybe even just 2 hours, if the writers would have a good job summarizing everything which they clearly did not.
The story did NOT go anywhere. The acting was alright and I did love the energy of Kitty, but also hated her character from time-to-time especially since she meddled a whole lot in the story.
It was introduced to us in the beginning that the whole reason of her wanting to go to Korea was to meet Dae, which did happen but also because she wanted to know more about her mom. And well..
The side stories about her mom felt a little underwhelming. Throughout the episodes, it was only inserted a little bit every here-and-there and then back to her love story which I know was the main theme anyway, but the writers could've made a scenario whereas it would seem that finding more about her mom wasn't just a side quest.
All-in-all, I think that's all for me. I hope everybody had a great and maybe a not-so-great time watching the show. Waiting for season 2 just because I do admit I have a love-hate relationship type with this kinds of series!!
