Following "Explosions" this is what happens right after the first bomb.
This is the kind of story that revolves around a character. Whether you like it/ get "gripped" by it or not, it's up to him/ her. Here beautiful Cécile Richard plays unhinged Maud Saurin to perfection. She looks and moves like a violent soul, who doesn't hesitate when being cruel but with a softer touch that's very hard to grasp. Saboureau gets to use it to everybody's favour, but she's got to fight for it.
The usual jokes and side stories are OK as fillers, but are well told. The weirdos obsessed with their dead dad's ashes and the pro butcher are funny. And you do feel claustrophobic, "in a cage" during most of the time.
Not bad for a TV series, indeed! Can't reveal much, but I can just say I just hadn't seen the series for a while, and feel it has improved. Less "dry", more "substance" now.
