All the Gleason Characters
8 December 2017 | by HitchcocSee all my reviews

Alice has spent the whole day, decking out the apartment for a Christmas party. Ralph has spent two hours getting a little carton of potato salad. Of course, he has spent most of that time in Joe the Bartender's place. Alice is upset because he has gone to the wrong place to get the salad and she sends him out. While he is out, the Great One shows up in all his famous incarnations: the Poor Soul, Joe the Bartender, Reginald Van Gleason, and so on. Also, a juggler shows up, a group of dancers, and a famous singer of the time. Obviously, the Honeymooners became the vehicle for Gleason's full variety show. It was quite a bit of fun.
