‘Smallville’ Star Kristin Kreuk Returns to The CW on Summer Legal Drama
Kristin Kreuk is coming home.

The former “Smallville” and “Beauty and the Beast” star will return to The CW this summer, as the network has acquired the U.S. rights to the 10-episode Canadian legal drama “Burden of Truth” from Entertainment One. Created by Brad Simpson, the series is the latest addition to The CW’s growing slate of original programming for the summer 2018 season.

Burden of Truth,” which premiered in January on the CBC, stars Kreuk as a big city lawyer who returns to her hometown to take on what she thinks is a simple case, only to find herself in a fight for justice for a group of sick girls. The series also stars Peter Mooney (“Rookie Blue”), Alex Carter (“NCIS”), Benjamin Ayres (“Saving Hope”), Nicola Correia-Damude (“Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments”), Meegwun Fairbrother (“Hemlock Grove”) and newcomer Star Slade.

The CW has acquired Canadian legal drama “Burden of Truth” to add to its summer original-programming slate.

Burden of Truth” stars Kristin Kreuk, a veteran of CW series “Smallville” and “Beauty & the Beast.” She plays a big-city lawyer who returns to her hometown to take on what she thinks is a simple case, only to find herself in a fight for justice for a group of sick girls. The series also stars Peter Mooney (“Rookie Blue”), Alex Carter (“NCIS”), Benjamin Ayres (“Saving Hope”), Nicola Correia-Damude (“Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments”), Meegwun Fairbrother (“Hemlock Grove”), and Star Slade.

6.4 Reversal

This Felicity-centric episode, directed by actor Gregory Smith (Everwood and Rookie Blue, among others), breathes some much-needed life back into this season of Arrow. This episode was a great reminder of why Emily Bett Rickards is so essential to the show's chemistry, and why she deserves more storylines in her own right. The writers found a creative way to keep Oliver on the bench (or at least out of the hood) for one more week, while giving Felicity some of that much-needed screentime.

It was nice to take a break from the William narrative, although he was mentioned several times.
