    • Goofs
The murder in this episode happens less than 33 minutes into the screening of the old movie, as the projectionist goes out for a smoke "just after the second reel change" of 11-minute reels. In that time, somehow the woman in the wheelchair has left with her companion to visit the ladies' room, waited for him to vape in the men's and return to her, came back to the screening, and fell asleep. It's after that that Rev. Green and two others leave the screening because the youngest "kept falling asleep". And between the woman dozing off and Rev. Green's departure, the companion has also left again. That's a lot of action in one half-hour, but (except for the kid dozing off and the woman being taken *to* the restroom), it all happens in the last 11-minute reel before the movie is interrupted and the murder is discovered.

Colin Stubley: I couldn't be arsed going down to the loos, so I just went out the fire escape. I've done it hundreds of times before. It always feels good to piss from a great height.

Starts like a Dr Blake episode!
I had a sense of deja vu at the start as it's a similar scenario to episode 2.5 of Doctor Blake Mysteries - nearly switched off because I thought I'd seen it already! However the main storyline is a bit different from DBM and other Brokenwood editions. I wish they didn't have the ongoing story of Rev Green as otherwise this one would be fine to watch as stand-alone, and I defo wouldn't go back and watch them all. I don't find Green's situation very likeable ie only there because they're desperate, not because he's good at his job, so I wouldn't avidly follow his storyline like I would the main characters.
