Desperation for Political Correctness
18 March 2021 | by NanoFrogSee all my reviews

Behind the scenes over the last several ears, the show-runners of Chicago PD have become desperate for a more "PC", shallow and less compelling narrative and charecter development. They nearly gutted the show by dropping 3 of the series absolute best characters, radically toned down the "back room" interrogations and keep notching the series toward a bland "woke" artificiality that is becoming less and less interesting. In this episode they have suddenly introduced a new cop, of color, and continued to distance the show away from its original gritty qualities into an increasingly bland and meandering show. The cast remains sterling. the writing, not so much.
